We Are the Big Four

Jackson Overland

My name is Jackson Overland. My dad and my mom called me Jackson but, just call me Jack. I'm 16 years old and I'm a sophomore.

I lived in Pennsylvania, United States at Burgess town together with my parents and my younger sister Emma, she's 10 years old.

I've had this white hair and blue eyes since I was born and I think it's really weird because my parents and also Emma were brunettes and they have brown eyes. Even when I was 8, I thought I was a adopted child. Luckily I wasn't.

I woke up really early because my mom yelled in front of my bedroom, "Jackson! Wake up sweetheart, I have to tell you something important!". I was really sleepy and it was really hard for me to wake up. But still, I have to answer her before she get mad at me. "Mom, there's nothing important than my beautiful white bed.". "I'm serious Jackson, wake up and I'll wait you downstairs!" My mom said.

I woke up and went downstairs. Both of my parents and Emma were sitting together with their serious faces. It was like they are having a very serious meeting. "Oh Jackson, finally you came! Come sit with us!" My mom said. I was sitting next to Emma and suddenly my dad said "We're all gonna move.". "Wait, what did you just say?" I asked. "I said, we're all gonna move. We're gonna move because of my job and I don't want to leave my family here for a long time." He answered. "Where?", "In a big city called Golden Sun city!" My mom answered. "Did you mean me and Emma not only gonna have a new house but also gonna have a new life at school?", "Of course!" My dad answered.

I didn't really care about where will we live but I DO really care about my new school life. What if I can't focus at my new class? What if I don't have any new friends? I've had good friends here and now I have to leave them? But I have to leave them because of my dad's job. I couldn't say anything.

I went back to my bedroom and opened my laptop and checked my Skype account. Luckily all of my friends were online. I called them and started a group call. I saw their morning faces in my laptop. I laughed really hard because their faces looked very horrible. "Jack what's going on with you? Why are you laughing?" Said one of my friend Toothiana. "Nothing! I just really love your morning faces.". "Yeah and it's because of you, I mean why the heck you call us this early?" Asked my friend Aster. "And why did you online this early you dumb!", "Uh... I didn't sign it out last night." He answered again. Then I saw my other friend, Sandy he slept again! "Sandy, SANDY!" Aster yelled at him. "Whoa easy Aster, easy! I'm waking up now!" Said Sandy after he woke up. "Guys, there's something I have to tell you." I said. "What is it Jack?" Asked Toothiana. "I'm gonna move to GSC tomorrow together with my parents and Emma.". "Wait what? You're going to move? But why?" Asked Aster". "Well it's because my dad's job and he said that he didn't want to leave me, my mom, and Emma here.". "Will you come back here?" Asked Toothiana. "I think I wont back here Tooth.". "GSC huh? A city of rich people, be careful Jack." Sandy said. "That's it Sandy! What if I don't have any friends because they don't want to play with ordinary kid like me?". "You don't have to be worry Jack! Just call us like this if you have problems with your new life!" Tooth said. "Of course I will! Well I think I'm already stink now, I have to take a shower first. See you later guys!". I closed my laptop and took a shower. After that I came back and called my friends again. Seriously they are my best friends of my whole life.

At the next day, I was ready with all of my stuffs, but I wasn't ready to leave my school life here. We're all went to the airport and suddenly I saw Tooth, Aster, and Sandy were there! "Why are you guys here?" I asked. "Oh come on Jack, today is the last day of us to see each other. Yeah, except on Skype." Aster said. "Aw.. You do really sweet." I said. I looked at Tooth and I saw she cried. "What's going on Tooth? Are you okay?" I asked. "I'm okay Jack! Seriously I'm okay." Tooth said and she tried to hold her tears. "Oh come on Tooth, I'll call you on Skype I promise." Suddenly she hugged me really tight and she cried again. I didn't know what I have to do, but I felt really comfortable in her arms. She stopped hugging me, wiped her tears and said "Promise me you'll contact us, okay?". "Yeah, I promise. Now stop crying Tooth." I said. "Jackson! Come here sweetheart we're gonna late!" Yelled my mom. "Okay guys I think I have to leave now. Let's have a group hug!" I hugged them and Tooth started crying again. "Seriously Tooth?" Sandy said. We were laughing together. I left them and they waved their hands. I saw Tooth was smiling at me. Damn, her smile made me didn't want to leave but I had no choice.

We flew at 07:00 am. I was pretty sleepy but I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about my new school life there.

We arrived at 09:30 am. GSC airport was really huge and there's a lot of people with their suit and tie. We took our luggages and went out from the airport. We took a taxi and we went to my dad's apartment. Seriously GSC was a huge city. There's a lot of buildings and their famous Golden Sun statue. Emma and mom were really exited but still, I couldn't stop thinking about my school and my new life here.
