Graham's POV

I had nobody to hang out with, the only person I knew was Damon. But I would NEVER sit with him. What a bitch. Who says such a thing? I went to sit down somewhere, on a bench where I could see the whole schoolyard. I ate my lunch and watched the other kids playing. The girls were doing each others hair, boys were playing football. I saw Damon hanging out with some kids. He seemed popular. The problem was, he looked so perfect. That blonde fringe, the button nose and his big blue eyes. But he had wonky teeth, which made me happy, because with that he wasn't as perfect as he seemed.

I was bored. On my old school I always had someone to do stuff with. I still didn't really like people, especially Damon the loser. I needed to stop thinking about him all the time, he made me angry. I began to think about things I could do after school, playing my guitar! My guitar was my best friend. I liked to sing too, but I wasn't very good. My mum bought me a guitar for my birthday and she couldn't make me happier. It was a Fender and that's a very good brand, very expensive too. But my mum didn't care about the price, she loved to see me happy with it. Sometimes I give a performance for her. I wanna play in a band when I'm older.

I was so busy with daydreaming, that I didn't notice someone went to sit next to me. "Uhh... Graham?" To my surprise - Damon was talking to me. What was he doing here?! "I thought you didn't like me?" I said. "Yeh, uhm.. I wanna say sorry for what I said about your shoes." He looked at me with his big, blue eyes and I couldn't be angry anymore. "It's okay." "Well, I'm glad to hear that. Sometimes I just say things I better not say, ya know. But ehh, I didn't even tell you who I am. I'm Damon Albarn, but I bet you already knew my name" I was confused. Why did he talk to me? "Yes, I do. I'm Graham Coxon. Can I ask you why you're talking to me?" "Well, I just wanted to say sorry. And you look nice, so that's why." "I look nice?" "Yeh, you have beautiful eyes." "Thanks, I guess." "Maybe we can hang out after school?" I didn't know what to think about that. But this was my chance to make a friend, so why not? "Okay." "Cool! We can go to my house." The school bell rang. "Kids, lunch is over! Let's go inside!" Mrs. Johnson said.
