Widowmaker stayed quiet the entire way back, her emotionless face inspecting her rifle. Reaper was in a far better mood, happy that she met a warrior who fought courageously against her on the battlefield. She tapped her feet against the ships floor in a rhythm, humming a small tune. Widowmaker gave Reaper a sharp look before returning her gaze to her rifle, a warning for the hooded female. Reaper stopped tapping and humming, crossing her arms instead.

When they arrived at their HQ, they went straight to the debriefing room. Walking in and turning to see a dark figure in the room, he looked angry.

"How could you two have possibly failed?! Again?!" The figure roared, throwing his hands up in the air.

"That annoying pest, Tracer, forced me back. I managed to kill the two guards who were protecting the package." Widowmaker informed, her head lowered a bit. The figure scoffed and then turned his head to Reaper.

"And what happened to you?" He growled, gritting his teeth.

"There was a... new player. He seemed very... skilled and I was unable to get past him." Reaper replied, her face hidden behind the skull mask. The figure sighed and waved his hand in dismissal, turning his attention to a screen on a wall.

"Do not fail again, Talon doesn't run on failure." The figure said before the two walked off, his hands formally clasped behind his back. Widowmaker and Reaper went their separate ways, Widow to the shooting range and Reaper to her room.

When Reaper got to her room, she locked the door behind her and went to the computer located in her desk. She was expecting a call...
---
"You alright, love?" Tracer says over the comm channel. You continue to think about that battle you had with Reaper for a while before you snap back to reality.

"Huh, oh. Yeah, I'm good." You reply, quickly looking to where Tracer was last. She waves from far away before making her way down to the package, using her ability to move faster. You decide to get there faster by jumping off the rooftop and hitting the ground with a roll, then making a sprint for the package. Tracer sees this and increases her haste, but you get to the steel box first.

"Not so fast now are you?" You tease, putting your foot on the box in domination. She lightly pushes you and turns her attention back to the package, grabbing a handle with a hand.

"Come on, Y/N. Let's load this in the truck." She tells you, gesturing you to grab the other handle. You look at the dead guards, but grab a handle and help take the box to the military vehicle.

"There we go, our job is over. Let's get to the evac location, Y/N." Tracer says, dusting her hands off. You grin and sprint to evac spot, using all your speed to get a head start.

"Hey!" Tracer shouts running after you with a delayed start. You chuckle in return and will your legs to go faster, knowing Tracer will catch up if you slow down.

"Geez, your fast!" Tracer exclaims, her voice coming from not far behind you.
You stop at the evac sight just as ship comes into view, Tracer smashing into your back.

"Owww, you could've at least warned me you were going to stop." She says, getting up from her fallen location. You laugh in return and board the ship, Tracer following behind you.

"Let's get back to base, huh? Cheater." She says, elbowing you lightly. He let out a sigh and nod, the mission was fun while it lasted. Though you do need to get back to base because you have something to do: call Reaper's number.

"Yeah, I guess..." You reply, putting your hand in your pocket to check if the paper was still there. It was and this makes you smile a little, Tracer notices.

"You're happy to go back?" She asks, crossing her arms and looking at you suspiciously.

"Um... why not, there is loads to do. Play soccer with Lucio, go to the shooting range with McCree, all that good stuff..." You lie, looking out the cockpit to hide your face. Tracer just "mhm hmm"s you and shrugs, turning to the pilot.

The plan finally lands fifteen minutes later and you disembark quickly, making a break for your room.

"Y/N, we need to go to the briefing room first..." Tracer reminds you, causing you to stop in your tracks and let out a groan. Tracer simply laughs and makes her way to the briefing room with you in pursuit.

"Good job! I knew we could count o you two! I heard the mission was a major success!" Jack says when you enter the room, his hands up in celebration. Winston snorts and brings up two Military files on the holoscreen, the soldiers who were killed.

"Not entirely... there were two casualties. I hate to be always giving you bad news, but it's my job to look at everything. You guys could've done better..." Winston says in a lowered tone, staring at screen. You lower your head and so does Tracer, Jack simply shook his.

"Winston... they're heroes and they saved the package, they can't stop a bullet though." Jack says, turning off the holoscreen. He gestures for us to leave while he talks to Winston, mainly about being pessimistic. You exit the door with Tracer behind you, she's has a depressed look.

"It's my fault... I didn't realize Widowmaker was aiming at them." Tracer told you, her head hanging low. You put your hand on her shoulder and raise her chin up with your other hand.

"Hey, there's no way you could've stopped a sniper round. Casualties happen if you like it or not, it's our jobs to reduce them. And I say you did a fairly good job at doing so by protecting that artifact, who knows what kind of damage it could've done." You reassure her, looking into her eyes. She smiles at what you say and gives you a tight hug, holding on for a while. You hug her in return and pat her back gently, though the hug feels a little uncomfortable due to her chrono-accelerator. She breaks the hug and looks at you with a spark in her eyes.

"Hey, can you... meet me in my room? Later?" She says, a little unsurely at first. You nod and smile, Tracer returning the smile.

"Good. Well, um... I'll see ya." She says, turning towards the mess hall and waving as she leaves. You wave back and turn to your room, sprinting over to it.

"Alright... time for that call." You tell yourself when you enter your room, locking it behind you. You take out a thin glass device and tap on it a couple times, inputting digits. The glass phone rings a couple times before a female voice answers:

"Yes?" The voice asks with a ghostly tone, a sure sign that it's the person you think it is. You calm your fast heartbeat and clear your throat, thinking of what to say.

"I didn't show the number to anyone." You say smoothly, though you start to regret it. Stupid! You mentally exclaim to yourself.

Wow, poor you. You could've come up with something better... haha.
Anyway, next chapter will come out tomorrow. It'll probably have a lot of humor/romance but I might change it up a bit. Also, if you guys have any OC's feel free to post them, I need a character to play the leader of Talon.
Thanks for reading and goodbye, for now.
