You blink your eyes several times, staring at the girl knelt in front of you. It was Tracer, but how'd she get here so fast? And why? Not that you were complaining, it seemed she just saved you from dying from a six story drop.
"Tracer?" You ask, still confused. She looks at you and nods, a warm smile on her face. Your brain slowly catches up with reality after a while and it hits you like a seven ton at maximum speed.
"The box! Reaper! Wait how'd you get here so fast?" You ask, getting up from the ground and standing up. Your senses tingle from the sudden movement and you hold your head with your hand.
"I couldn't help but come after you. It seems you always get into trouble wherever you go." Tracer giggled with a shrug of her shoulders. She stands up slowly herself and crosses her arms.
"We've got to recover the package before Reaper gets away!" You tell her, quickly running back up the stairs of the building.
"You just can't stay in one place, huh? Don't worry, love, I can't either." Tracer teased, running up after you.
The both of you make it to the top in no time and look around with guns raised, but it was too late. Reaper was already gone with whatever was in the box.
"Damn..." You mutter, lowering your rifle that you had aimed. The cold wind whipped at your face atop pf the building.
"What was in there?" Tracer asked, making sure the area was clear and lowering her own weapons.
"No clue, Commander Morrison just ordered me to retrieve it. Bet it had to be something important though." You sigh, looking over the side of the building. Whoa... I would've been a goner. You think, the distance from the ground was much farther than you initially believed it to be.
"You can't win 'em all." Tracer replied, standing next to you. You could practically feel her body heat, it was a perfect warm temperature. Which was better than colder weather that you were feeling on the rooftop right now.
"Yeah..." You nod your head, looking out at the horizon.
"It's kinda chilly out here. Don't you think?" Tracer says, playfully pressing herself into your side for warmth.
"Uh... kind of..." You reply awkwardly. You didn't want to push her away because she was your friend but it was kind of weird for... obvious reasons. She notices that your not voicing any complaint and smiles, wrapping her arms around you as she repositions to your front and buries her face into your neck.
"We... um... need to go... report back to the commander..." You say nervously, your heart rate starting to accelerate. What if Reaper saw this? Would she even care? You mentally asked yourself. Though it's not like you and her were dating anymore... but was this still alright? It was bound to draw at least some jealous feelings from the assassin. Well, it's not like she's here... she probably took off with that box anyways.
"Just a little longer..." Tracer moaned into your neck, gripping your armor tightly.
"One minute... then we leave." You sigh and tell her, slowly resting your hands on her hips. It was still a bit awkward for you but she did feel nice and warm. Warm and slender, and smooth like a certain assassin draped in black... No, stop thinking about her. You mentally bark at yourself, shaking your head and looking down at the female in your arms.
"Thank you." Tracer smiles while looking up at you. Her eyes meet yours and you can't help but stare into them as if your eyes were glued to the sight.
In an instant she puts her arms around your neck and kisses you, using her tiptoes to reach your lips and hold hers there. This catches you off guard and you recoil from it but ultimately don't resist.
