I hear the bell chime and I look up to see Jonah looking at Rudy. He goes around the table and sits by me on the couch and then the conversatio starts.
"Hey, Rain" Jonah says smiling.
"Hey Jonah...hey what is your last name?"I ask.
"Marais, yours?"
"Russey." I answer.
"What is that little fellows name?" Jonah asks gesturing to Rudy.
"Oh that's Rudy! He is a German Shepherd.."

"Hey, so I wanted to repay you for letting me use your phone..that was a life saver..and I just feel the need to-"
"You don't have to repay me...it's ok.." I say looking down.
"Well...if you do need anything I'm open. I owe you one..." he says and gets up and walks to the counter.
I look at Rudy seeing he is awake. Then a idea comes into my head. Chances are I won't be able to sleep tonight. All I will hear is the yelling of a drunkie. Maybe I shouldn't have thrown the bat.. that's besides the point though. I need a place to stay. I need somewhere. And he just may be my ticket to a hotel or something.
As Jonah walks by he hands me a bag from Starbucks and walks out the front door. I grab it and put it in my bag and whistle signaling Rudy to follow me.
I run out the front door and stop him.
"Hey about that favor..."

He drives me and Rudy to a hotel and books it for two nights and he will pay for room service.
"Thank you so much" I say hugging him.
"Anytime" he says. "We will hang tomorrow?" He asks
"Yeah! Yeah! I'll just be here.....with Rudy." I say smiling.
He leaves and I'm left in the lobby with my big dog wondering what to do. I leave the hotel and go to the mall. This mall is famous for expensive clothing. It is LA after all.
I go in and look around. There is a few cute outfits but I can't afford them. This is like how much our rent costs for 3 months. I go into one section of a store and was about to start looking around but I remember I have Rudy with me. So I go to the next one that is a dog store. I see a small hoodie for dogs and I smile. I pick it up and show it to Rudy.
"You like it boy?" I asked.
He wags his tail and licks my hand softly showing he likes it. I look at the price tag and it says $79.99........WHAT?!?!?! I look down and all I have is 20 dollars. I go over to the food and buy a big bag of organic dog food and we leave the store. I walk back to the hotel and go into my room.
