Chapter 7

Cora's POV

It was the day after cotillion.

Thank god it's finally over!

I was playing tricks with Dude in Carlos and Jay's room.

"Okay sit dude"I say and he sits.

"Lay down"I say and he lays down

"Roll over"I say.

"I want the treat"He says standing up.

I sigh.

I give him the treat.

"Are you just going to talk forever now?"I ask.

"Maybe but you love me like this"Dude says and I giggle petting him.

"Cora"I hear Carlos call.

I look up.

"My first fencing tournament is today,you're coming right?"He asked.

"Of course sweetie"I say standing up and kissing his cheek.

"Carlos come on man! I was going to get a belly rub"Dude says.

We laugh.

"Dude she's my girlfriend though"Carlos says holding my waist.

"She's my mom"Dude says.

"That makes a family,huh Mrs.De Vil?"Carlos asked.

I laughed and pushed him.

"I gotta go study,see you later"I say.

"No"Carlos says pulling me close to him.

We walk towards his bed.

His head snuggled into my chest.

We fall on his head,Me on top of him.

"Just stay here while we wait for the tournament to begin"He says.

"I have to study Carlos"I say.

"Study my eyes"He says looking at me.

"Ew your cheesy"I say standing up.

"Fine but we're going out after that"Carlos says and I nod.

I leave to go study.

I put on a black sleeveless crop top,white skirt,gold shoes and a red headband.

I was walking with Carlos hand and hand to his tournament.

We get in and everyone was stretching.

"I'm going to go"He says kissing my cheek.

"Good luck"I say.
