Neko Akatsuki x Reader

Normal Day

     It was just a normal day at the Akatsuki hideout. Sasori and Deidara arguing about what was "true" art. Pein was in his office completing the usual stacks of paperwork. Kakuzu was obsessing over money as he counted it. Konan was with Pein, as per usual. Itachi and Kisame were sitting on the couch, relaxing from the mission they just got back from. Zetsu was being his . . . plantself. Hidan was hooting curses as his limbs were accidentally cut off, by himself. 

     And you? You were currently riding on Tobi's back. You had been forced by the swirly lollipop and he said he had something important to tell you. 

     "So what is it, Tobi?" You asked him once he set you down in your room.

     "Tobi wants a kitty Y/n-Sama! Can Y/n-Sama get Tobi a fluffy feline? Tobi promises to take care of it!"

     You mentally facepalmed. "You want a kitten?" Tobi vigorously nods his head, his hands clutching the other as he falls to his knees. "Tobi, why do you want a cat?"

     "We are not buying a cat for the man-child! It's expensive!"

     You chuckled, "there is your answer Tobi. If you want a cat, go buy one yourself."

     Tobi only whined and left your room with a pout. 

     You sighed to yourself as you walked out of your room. 

     "True art, true art is-"

     BANG 

     "-an explosion!"

     You yelped as you stumbled back, being in the radius of Deidara's art was not fun. 
     "Y/n?!"

     "Look what you did you brat! You hurt Y/n!" Sasori snapped as he helped you up, his wooden hand lingering on yours. You laughed nervously as you dusted your cloak off. "I'm fine guys, really." You said quietly. 

     Sasori realised how quiet you got and instantly backed away. Deidara, however, tilted his head. A shadow cast over your eyes as an irk mark appeared on your head. 

     "BUT DEIDARA WON'T BE!" You yelled, raising your arms to make hand signs before slamming your palm onto the ground, "Earth Style: Shindoryuudan!"

   Once you shout, a large, bronze dragon head peaks out of the ground and roars as its long stone body is revealed. Then it dives back underground, charging towards Deidara. When it finally reaches the explosive user, it shoots up in full dragon form and smashes into him with an enormous force, exploding on contact. The explosion causes the Dragon's bronze body to move outward with immense force. 

    Deidara screams as he blown back and hits the wall. Sasori was safe behind you. The raven and shark were nowhere to be seen. You smirked to yourself as you stood, the sleeves of your Akatsuki cloak falling swiftly over your gloved hands. 

     "What was that for, hmm?!"Sasori only sighed at Deidara's stupidity. "That is what you get when you bomb the legendary Earth Style user!" you snapped at him.

     You growled grumpily as you stalked off towards Pein's office to explain what just happened. 

     Konan watched you with interest, every step you took was followed by her eyes. Before you managed to get to Pein, however, she intervened and stepped in front of you. You stopped immediately, not wanting to bump into your best friend. 

     "Konan?"

     "Y/n-Sama!"

     "Konan... I need to speak to Pein.."

     She only refused to let you pass. "Please Y/n-Sama! You need to understand that I can not let you pass!"

     You sighed as you held out your hand, "Alright Konan, give me."

     Konan happily handed you a piece of paper and you crunched it in your hand. The two of you heard the paper tear and wrinkle, and when you opened your hand, there in your palm was a miniature paper version of the paper user.  

     She giggled happily and took the figurine from your hand. She would not let you speak to Pein unless you did some paper trick for her. 

      Suddenly, Tobi! He bursts through the door before you could even open your mouth to speak. He grabs your arm and drags you back down the hall and to the entrance of the base. 

     You could oddly hear Kakuzu shouting something about stolen money.

     "Y/n-Sama! Tobi has enough money to go buy candy! Can Y/n-Sama come with Tobi so Tobi isn't lonely?" You raised an eyebrow but sighed. You took off your cloak and hung it on the hat track nearby. Tobi did the same and grabbed your arm again before dragging you out of the base. 

~Mini Timeskip~

     You and Tobi arrived in a small, cosy town. It wasn't much a village, not even close. It was really more of a tiny neighbourhood. You could walk to one exit to the other within fifteen minutes tops. 

      Tobi dragged you off towards the nearest candy shop, which in turn earned you two odd looks from people. Once inside, your heart skipped a beat seeing all the candy. Maybe this trip wasn't so bad, eh?

     The shopkeeper greeted you with a warm smile. He was a gruff young man, in his early twenties. He had dazzling blue hair that was raised in a high ponytail. He had small traces of a beard beginning to grow, and he had a deep brown eye colour. He wore a white apron around his body and he was as tall as Sasori. 

     "Welcome to Pheonix Candy Shop! Would you like to try our newest candy, The Mystical Cat?"

     Tobi instantly nodded his head and slammed a pouch of coins on the countertop. "Tobi and Y/n-Sama wants the Mystical Cats! Ooh! And Tobi wants these, oh and these! These ones too!"

     The shopkeeper sweat dropped, Tobi had nearly cleaned his shop of candy. "I'm going to be out of business if you come back in the next few weeks..." he whispered.

     "Tobi... how are we going to carry all that?"

     Tobi only flailed his arms and picked up the dozen bags with ease, you also carry a large amount. You sighed and followed Tobi out of the shop before making your way back to the town exit, and back to the base.

     "Everyone! Tobi is back with Y/n-Sama and she's hurt!"

     You raised an eyebrow. You weren't crying out in pain or bleeding. Your arms just hurt from carrying the ton of candy in one trip. 

     Everyone, including Zetsu, surprisingly rushed over and you sighed for the umpteenth time today. It was only to get everyone in one room...

     "Good! Now that everyone is here, Tobi wants everyone to try this new candy Tobi found!"

     You glared at Tobi and huffed, "He didn't find it. It just happened to be a new candy at the store we regular."

     Deidara chirped up, what happened earlier today long forgotten. "If that candy is poisoned, I will kill you, Tobi! Sasori will hopefully have an antidote in time. I won't give it to you though!"

     Tobi took a step back, "Deidara-Senpai! Please don't hurt Tobi!"

     "Deidara makes no promises!" the blonde mocks, glaring. You growled and gave everyone a piece of the Mystical Cat candy. You popped one into your mouth, and Tobi had to leave to eat his. 

     What no one knew though, was that the candy had really been poisoned.
