Setsuka's POV:
The ring of Ayako's laughter in my ear was enough to make me happy on this gloom day. Why you may ask? Testing, enough said. We've been testing ALL DAY, it makes me feel like I'm caged in this prison called school. My best friends laughter however, just freed me.
Right now, we're on our way to get lunch, the most important meal of the day.
"Okay, next situation." Ayako told me as we trotted slowly through the lunch line. Oh yeah! We were playing a game where one of us would give the other a situation, and we would have to respond to what we would do. Ayako inhaled deeply, ready to give me my situation.
"All right." She began. "Let's say you were walking through a lunch line, like this, and you randomly bumped into a........ uh........ cute.... boy and you both dropped your trays. What would you do?"
This question was simple enough. "Well, I'd simply apologize, help him pick up his food, and pretend like nothing happened."
Suddenly, a strange force arose on my back.. a bump. Next thing I knew, my tray was on the floor, and so was the person's behind me. Being distracted by Ayako's question made me not realize where I was going. Huh, it's almost like the situation Ayako gave me.
"I'm sor-" The boy slowly turned around to me as I saw nothing I have ever seen before. He was cute, no doubt. So cute I couldn't describe him if I tried.
We stared at each other in the most awkward silence you could ever imagine for about five minutes before I decided to start to pick up my food. My gosh! This is REALLY like Ayako said now.
The last piece of food on the floor lay in front of me. I lay my hand on it to pick it up seconds before I felt another hand on top of mine. We both gasped and stared at each other once more in awkward silence.
Eventually, I retracted my hand, grabbed Ayako by the arm and sprinted out of the cafeteria. My gosh, what is happening?
Ayako's POV
Setsy grabbed my hand and sprinted out of the cafeteria. After we sprinted away from the semi crowded cafeteria we ended up to the end of a hall I couldn't recognize. When Setsy let go of my hand my eyes grew with wonder. Why did she run away? She could have just helped him up and went on with her day. I gaze at Setsy with eyes full of wonder witch caused Setsy to smile. "I was a tad bit embarrassed is all" Setsy mumbled. A smile grew across my face. "You might have a tad bit of a crush" I say teasingly. "No I don't" Setsy mumbled.
"It's ok you can tell me" I say in a calm tone. If I want her to admit it to me she has to admit it to herself so for now I will just wait. I just hope she doesn't wait to long or else she will end up like me. As my thoughts trail I realise Setsy sat on the floor with her knees up. She doesn't notice I'm starting because she is deep in thought. Yep it's a crush. I just hope she can get over it if it doesn't work out. Like I had to ....but this is not about me so let's try to smile for Setsy. I forge a slight smile and extend my hand to Setsy. As long as my friends are happy I'm happy. Setsy grabs my extended hand and we happily walk to our next class.
