Chapter 7 - Starbucks Coffee
Stay - Zedd & Alessia Cara

I wake up groggily. It's pitch black except for the light of the television. I'm in my hotel bed.

Rubbing my eyes, I look around. I don't see Talia, even though we have our separate rooms in the suite, we still sleep in the same bed. I hear a soft snore come from the right of me, on the ground. I jump, my vision blurring as my eyes focus on the sleeping figure.

It's Harry.

He has his shirt under his head as a pillow and my unicorn tie blanket I made in sixth grade draped over him. I immediately become embarrassed, the notion of him grabbing it and putting it over himself. I ponder on the idea of waking him to ask him to come in the bed with me so he can sleep comfortably. Deciding against it, I pull the covers back over me, turning to the other side and falling asleep once again, never feeling more safe than I do at this moment.

I wake up to loud giggles coming from the other room of the suite. My eyes open slowly, light shining through the doors that lead to the deck.

"Sh, I don't want to wake her up," I hear someone whisper.

"Mm," they both go silent. I stretch my arms above my head, burying my head in the middle of the two pillows. I look down at myself, seeing that I'm changed into a oversized T-shirt and just my underwear.

How did I change again?

I groan, my head starting to boil. "You gotta go now," someone yell-whispers. The door opens slowly, then shuts quietly seconds after. I sit up on one of my elbows, seeing something on the bedside table that wasn't there yesterday.

A note, three Advil pills, a banana, and a glass of water with half-melted ice cubs floating at the top it. I pick up the note, squinting my eyes.

I bet you look better than last night before you crashed. Probably feeling worse though. . . Here's something to help. See you soon.

xx H.

I smile, hiding the note immediately when I hear the door open, trying not to crumple it. I catch the time of the clock before looking back over to the threshold.

10:48

"Hey," Talia says, too loudly, making me flinch. She scowls, muttering, "Sorry."

My throat is too sore to say anything so I just sit and blink at her. She rocks on her heels. "Take this stuff," she orders, walking to the bedside table where the necessities of a hangover lay.

I reach over, grabbing the banana and start peeling it. I feel Talia's stare on me but I ignore it. I couldn't be more annoyed with her.

"You were out cold when I got home last night," Talia tells me. I nod, taking a bite of the banana.

She pauses for a moment before saying something again. "Sorry I didn't sleep in here last night. I wasn't feeling well."

I snort, making my face scrunch up in displeasure. Does she really think I'm this stupid? I look up at her from my banana, seeing her face turn red. I realize that this is a big deal, and I should let her tell me when she is ready.

"It's okay."

She gulps, handing me the Advil and water, and taking the half-eaten banana from me. I take it quickly, laying back down in my pillows.
