"... I don't want to swim the ocean,I don't want to fight the tide, I don't want to swim forever; When it's cold I'd like to die..."

Cole's POV:

I'm not convinced that any of us are going to survive this. I'm not depressed, just kinda bummed.. There was still some things I wanted to try like maybe get a tattoo, I dunno. If my baseball is gonna go anywhere I kinda wanted to see it on its feet.

The ocean doesn't give a fuck about me though, fuck the ocean.
"I know that this is an awful thing to say," Emma says beside me, quietly enough so the others, who are scavenging for something to break a window in the sparse seconds we had left, couldn't hear the small bits of conversation between the two of us. I straighten out my shoulders and hum a little so she knows that I'm listening, still trying to support her on my flank. She continues, "But I always wondered, out of me and my brothers..who would die first.. I had a hunch that it was going to be me. ."

She doesn't meet my eyes as she finishes, hurriedly watching the interior of the bus and everyone in it, swiping her hair behind her ear. Oh.
"Yo.." I say, clearing my throat. She just kinda nods, squinting her eyes and quickly shaking her head for a moment.
"Yeah." Emma says, not looking at me again. She seems a bit bothered, but at what? at the situation? I shouldn't care-

"YES." Neha yells, triumphantly holding a sizeable rock in her hand. That thing could definitely shatter a window, or at least have more of a shot than Zack's cranium.
"Why is there just a rock on the bus?" Aiden scoffs, his scepticism bleeding through his tone. It is an oddly convenient object to have here, just a rock. Huh, better not think about it to much though.
"Just roll with it okay. Rocks break windows." Rowan says, crossing her arms and staring off into the middle ground.

Everything we are doing is rushed, movements quickened with fear and rapid heart beats. Trentin takes the grey, speckled stone out of Neha's small hand. He picks a window closest to all of us, I can feel Emma hold her breath as he lifts up his dominant arm behind his head. Trentin puffs out a gust of air as he whips his arm, releasing the stone and it crashes through the glass Paine. Shards glitter like fluorescent dust as it shatters. Emma sighs, relieved. I am too.

Emma's POV

Kater crushes the remaining shards that frame our small "home made" exit, so that when we slide through we won't get gutted by the barbed wire like glass. Thinking about the cold splinters seeping into my gut makes me feel dizzy. I place my hand on my stomach, pressing my tummy knowing that my entrails are inside, where they belong.

The end.

I'm not really that into finishing this story with Belmont approaching so this is what I had of chapter six and I'm gonna end it here.

I was planning on killer kater,Zack,Cole and me :)

We were gonna escape the bus and drive through fucking waves and harsh rain to a light house where we all kind of chilled and listened to music on an old record player and watch some VHS's.

That's all I had for the rest of the story

Cheers
