Harrys POV

I've been working over time for the past two months and my whole body feels like it's aged by a hundred years.  I gingerly pushed open my car door and walked up to the door, fiddling for the right key.  Suddenly, I heard a noise that made me stop dead in my tracks.  Was that a bark or am I going insane? I gingerly unlocked the door and was met with a small bundle of golden fluff that jumped up at me.  It knocked me backwards and licked at my face.  It's small barks were followed by the sound of running and Louis yelling "Oi come back you little shit!"

Chuckling, I picked up the puppy and walked inside.  "Oh Harry. You're back already." Louis said shocked.  "Yea.  Who's this cutie?" I asked bumping the dog up in my arms.  "Umm, that's your present." He said beaming.  "Was supposed to have a bow wrapped around her collar and everything but the little devil ran off as soon as I cut the ribbon." He said glaring at the puppy.  "It's so cute." I cooed before dumping my bag and going into the living room.  Louis followed and watched us lovingly from the doorway.

He returned with a glass of water for me and some kibble for the dog.  It shot out of my hands and went in on the food while I wearily stood up and took a sip.  "What should we name her?" He asked, looking up at me.  "Cupcake." I said without missing a beat.  "Sweet and small." I said pointing to her.  "Cupcake it is then." He laughed before pulling me into a sitting hug on the couch.

The next few weeks consisted of me constantly giving love to my two babies.  Cupcake had grown up fast and I wanted her to stay small forever.  I was rather grateful she was here though because Lou had gone to see Zayn for the weekend.  In fact, he was supposed to be back an hour ago.  I retracted my hand from cupcakes soft fur and walked towards the phone.  I dialed his number and heard it go to answer machine.  Sighing, I went and sat back down next to the fire and curled up to sleep next to cupcake.

The next morning I woke up to Zayn, Liam, Niall and Louis all in the house.  I smiled and jumped on them all to wake them up.  I hadn't seen the bastards in weeks.  "lads, lads, lads!" I chanted.  "Harreh!" They yelled back and we all started getting rowdy which in turn caused cupcake to start barking and running in between our legs.

Louis emerged out of all the commotion and placed a kiss on my temple.  "Aight, who wants to go out for breakfast?" He asked.  We all nodded and piled into my car.  As we lived in the middle of no where it took a good 20 minutes to get to the nearest town but when we did we weren't disappointed as we were handed piles upon piles of steaming hot food.

Cupcake sat obediently next to us, occasionally lapping at her water bowl. Ah, she was too cute.  Half way through I picked her up and let her sit on my lap while I scratched behind her ears.  I was suddenly snapped right of my thoughts by Zayn clearing his throat.  "Guys, now is a good time as ever.  I'm having a baby.  I'm gonna be a Dad." He said out of no where with the biggest smile I'd ever seen. "Congratulations my boy!" Louis yelled before pulling him across the table and bringing him into a hug.   "How long have you known for?" I asked while excitedly chewing on a chip.  "Three months.  Only six left." He said nervously.  The rest of breakfast consisted of excited babble on possible names and jokes about the whole situation.

The lads stayed over for the whole weekend and it was just like old times.  We drank, sang and got rowdy up in our house.  I had such a good time I forgot all about work on Monday.  I groaned, dragging my sorry ass out of bed and slid on a suit.  Checking my appearance and kissing Louis I left to the office.

I've been working my ass of for months recently I need a break.  I felt my shoulders relax as Lou's arms wrapped around my front.  "Hard day?" He asked, nuzzling his head into the crook of my neck.  I nodded.  "Whatcha thinking about?" He asked, breaking the tired silence.  "Honestly, I'm thinking about how time has flown by so fast.  It only feels like we were skinny dipping with the lads by your old flat the other day.  That block has been knocked down now." I said - my voice cracking at the end.  "Ah, but my dear Harry, the memories stay the same.  You can't knock down the good times and memories." He said.  "True.  I love you." I said sappily.  We were broken apart by the phone ringing.

"Hello?" Lou asked into the reciever.  "Oh shit.  We're on our way!" He yelled before slamming down the phone.  "Zayn's son is being born as we speak.  We gotta go be with him." He said rather quickly.  I just smiled and went along.

The drive to the hospital was filled with Louis nervous chatter and I had almost had enough.  "Babe." I said placing my hand on his thigh.  "Be quiet.  It'll be fine." I said lovingly.  He smiled up at me and fell silent.

The birth was successful and I've never seen Zayn so emotional.  We left the new family alone a few hours after the baby was born.  As we walked through the car park, our interlocked hands swinging, I turned to see tears streaming down Louis face.  "Why you crying bub?" asked in between fits of giggles.  "Because life is just so fuckin' precious okay." He said half happy half upset.  "I never used to be this emotional." He whispered while opening the car door.  "It's okay.  I like this side of you." I said while wiping away the tears with one hand and the other on the wheel.  "You like every side of me." He scoffed.  "You know it." I said back, kissing his cheek.
