Chapter 4

Cece--Next Day--

The very next day, Uma and I had a meeting with the crew on the Lost Revenge. We discussed that Mal and the gang was bringing us the wand and if there are any tricks, don't let them leave. After everybody dismissed, Uma and I went to check on Ben, who was tied to the post. I sat on Gil's lap. He and I were weirdly talking about licorice.

"You're supposed to lick it, right?" He asked. "No, you don't lick licorice" I replied. Gil started playing with my jacket. "Well, why isn't it called "Chew-rice" if you're supposed to chew it?" "Because that's dumb" I replied.

Harry jumped down out of nowhere and started messing with Ben. "Coochy, coochy coo." Harry said, tickling his chin. Ben stared at him. "How does it feel being the king now, eh?" Harry asked. Ben stared at him again, causing the crazy pirate to laugh and walk around him.

Uma came over and pushed Harry's hand down, "Give it a rest, Harry. Give it a rest"

"We don't want damaged goods" I said as Uma sat next to us.

"You two said that I could hook him!" Harry replied, pointing his hook.

"We said at noon" Uma corrected.

Harry walked back over to Ben and held up his clock, "Twenty more minutes"

"That says eleven-thirty" Ben replied.

"You just better hope your girlfriend comes through" Uma said.

"She's not my girlfriend anymore." Ben said, looking down.

I smirked, Harry chuckled. "Uma, Harry, Gil. Leave us alone" I got up, allowing Gil to leave. Uma got up and walked away. Harry held up his clock, "Nineteen minutes to go now"

"Go" I said to Harry. He smirked at Ben then followed Uma.

"I get that you don't deserve this" Ben said.

I laughed, sitting up. My smile slowly dropped into a look, "'This'. This island is a prison, thanks to your father. And don't pretend to look out for me. Because no one's looking out for me. It's just me"

"So this isn't your dad's plan or Ursula's plan?" Ben asked. I scoffed, "Isn't that Ursula's necklace Uma was wearing?"

"Our parents don't care about us. The only time my dad is interested in me is if he needs someone to run errands for him. And Ursula cares for Uma when she needs someone to work the night shift" I said.

"Ouch"

"I don't need your pity"

"No you certainly dont. You're very resourceful, I don't see you tied up" Ben replied.

I chuckled and stood up, placed my hand a few inches away from his head. "Alright, let's trash talk Mal"

"I'd rather talk about you" Ben said.

"Funny and a gentlemen. That topic is interesting, I really hope that we don't have to feed you to the fishes. That's too much blood" I replied, turning away.

"Well, you don't. Set me free, and we'll go back together" Ben negotiated.

My eyes widened, I turned around and laughed. "Oh, so now I get an invitation? Gee, I wonder why. When you brought Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos to Auradon, that's as mad as I've ever been in my life. And trust me, I've been plenty mad"

"I've never thought of it like that. That I could've hurt the people I didn't pick. My plan was to start with four kids and bring more people over. I guess I was too busy being king. That sounds pretty lame. You're a leader Cece. So am I. Come to Auradon and be part of the solution." Ben said.

I glanced over at the gang. Ben laid his eyes on Gil, "You really love him don't you?"

"Maybe, I do. He's the only one I can trust besides Harry and Uma. Gil can be a idiot but you can count on him." I replied. I rolled up my sleeves, accidentally revealing the bracelet.

"That's a nice bracelet. Where did you get it?" Ben said.

"It was given to me by Carlos, six months ago" I said.

"Carlos? Carlos gave it to you?" Ben asked.

"Yeah, I just told you that" I sassed.

"If Carlos gave it to you then that means you both are friends. Shouldn't you be on our side?" Ben said.

"No, because Carlos left me behind for Auradon. He promised me that he would come back for me but he didn't. Which is why I hate him and why I'm doing this" I said.

It went quiet after that. After a few moments, Ben finally said, "Well, if you hate Carlos then why do you wear that bracelet?"

"It reminds me that even friends break promises and that I need to look out for myself. But back to this offer, me apart of your solution?" I asked. Ben nodded. I pretended to think then smirked, "Nah. I don't need you. I'm gonna get their on my own with Uma, Harry and Gil of course. But let's see what Uma's necklace can do. This should be fun"
