His Love

In the darkness, there’s a voice that calls.

That catches me after all my falls.

In those arms, that protect and hold,

suddenly, I don’t feel so alone and cold.

His hands are the ones that wipe away my tears,

protecting and shielding me from my greatest fears.

You don’t know it, but you’ve saved my life,

made me stop and put away that knife.

The demons that once haunted my dreams,

have given way to hopes that gleam.

The light that shines, borne of your love,

is nothing less than a gift from above.

Forgive me if I seem too bold,

but it seems my feelings cannot be controlled.

You are the only man I’ll ever need,

and thanks to you, I’ve finally been freed.
