We had decided to take the children out for the day. They had only really experienced the outside by playing in the palace gardens and by attending various balls and presentations. After all, Nate and Midori were part of the royal family and Camellia was the daughter of one of the elite ten. Meetings with the public were natural for them by now.
"Are we gonna see a rainbow, Mama?!" Midori cried excitedly as I lifted her into he carriage.
"Midori, you can see a rainbow from the palace," I told her. Alison and Lilia had once again dressed her in clothes fit for an angel, however this new dress only came down to her ankles, giving her room to run around and play. It was baby pink with frills and bows, with a matching small gold tiara.
"But if I'm out I can find the end," Midori explained. "Nii-san will help me find it."
"Don't forget me, Midori!" Camellia added as she stepped inside the carriage, followed by Niska.
"Are we all set to go?" She asked.
"Yep!" I chirped happily. "Camellia, you look beautiful."
Camellia's face blushed bright pink as she presented her outfit to me.
"Y-You think so?" She asked. "But Midori is way prettier than me."
"Midori's way prettier than anyone," Nate added.
"There might even be such a thing as too beautiful. Lucy, are you even sure your daughter's human?" Ekiro asked.
"I'm going to take that as a compliment," I replied, laughing in return.
"Of course, my daughter is just the right amount of beautiful," he continued, wrapping his arms around Camellia. She giggled under his embrace.
"We're heading out, your highness!" I heard the carriage driver call out.
"Full speed ahead!" Midori cried.

The palace gates opened to allow us through. There was one carriage in front of us and one behind us, filled with fairy tail members. Erza and the rest had stayed at home since they were busy with various activities, but those who were available were offering protection. News had already got out that we were leaving the palace, so we were surrounded by the public as our carriage departed. Clara had prepared a drive way passage that had been cut off from the country's citizens. It was lined with guards and several layers of rope and metal bars.
"Wow, this much effort just to go for a picnic?" I muttered. "We could've just teleported or something. I'm sure a fairy tail member has teleportation magic..."
"This will get the public excited!" Niska replied.
"Especially with Midori here..."
Midori peeked her head out the window, instantly proving Niska's point. The public's cheers grew to a near constant screaming.
"Princess Midori-sama!" They chanted with extreme excitement. She instantly grew a big bright smile and waved to her adoring fans.

"Man, that was stressful," Ekiro admitted, as he hopped out of the carriage. "At least they've blocked off this part of the forest for us."
I followed Ekiro out of the carriage, helping Midori out while Nate simply jumped to the ground.
"I can't believe they had to section off a whole area of a forest just so we could have a little picnic..." Niska added, glancing around. The guards had surrounded us creating a spacious circle. They were so far out that we couldn't even see them, so it was just us and nature.

It took a while for the forest to grow healthy again, even after Midori's birth. As we sat down to relax, Midori noticed sections of wilted flowers and grass.
"Mama..." she began. "Can I fix the flowers?"
"Go ahead, baby," I told her. She did as she was told, walking slowly over to the dying plants. She gracefully leaned down, so that her dress folded over itself in a neat circle around her, and culled her hand around one of the flowers.
"Grow big and strong, flower," she muttered softly, almost like a magic spell she was chanting. The flower instantly grew back to its prime health. Not only that, but the effect spread to all the flowers, making even the ones that weren't wilted looked healthier and happier. There was something simply stunning at the sight of her, as Nate had mentioned in the carriage. Her bleache blonde hair and bold red eyes, complimented by her extremely generous and caring nature. Outside beauty alongside beauty within- the perfect mix of both.
"It still baffles me every time I see it," Ekiro said. "That girl will grow to do great things."
I took note of what Ekiro had said, but my focus was on Nate. His eyes were fixed on his sister.
"How does she do that, Mummy?" He asked, without taking his eyes off of her.
"We've never really looked into how, actually," I admitted. "I guess we were so overjoyed that the reason didn't really matter to us."
This peaked a certain curiosity.
"I want to know why..." he mumbled to himself.
