Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand
Just like that river twisting through a dusty land
And when she shines she really shows you all she can
Oh Rio, Rio dance across the Rio Grande
This song, there's something about it. I can't quite understand what it is that makes me so fond of it.
I've always had a strange attachment to 80's music, weird considering I wasn't born in the 80's.
Something about the quality of it, the commonly used synth wave, the usual upbeat feel of it.
It makes me feel like there's more to life than I really think there is.
It reminds me that there will be better moments in life than these.
There's a light up ahead. With enough effort and hope, I can reach it.
It pushes me forward.
