Chapter Three

It's been a week since the day Daniel visited Sejeong in their home. And Jaehwan came home the day after that and of course Sejeong coudn't keep a secret that she told her brother about Daniel's visit. She was suprised that Jaehwan was not bothered at all. 

After all, Daniel's a good guy. 

"Sejeong!" It was Somi, the girl she met two days ago. She's in the first year in middle school and a transfer from Canada. Sejeong made friends with her because she doesn't seem feel welcomed by her classmates and it would be very nice of her to be her friend.

"Somi, you're here! How's class?" she asked.

The ring just rang and that means classes are being dismissed. Sejeong is just getting ready to be out of the class. The homeroom is getting noisy and some of her classmates are out of the school. Somi is also ready to get out of the school. She was getting a tight grip with her bag at her back. 

"Well, a few people are making friends with me and talked to me during lunch." Somi was happy to share that good news to her new Unnie, Sejeong. 

"That's great!" Sejeong said, "Why don't we eat outside to celebrate that." She suggested and the little girl replied a resounding yes. 

"I have a good cafe to visit. It's not too far from the campus. I bet you'll like it Unnie." Somi said. She was thinking of visiting Daehwi, too. He works in Euigeon Sweet Cafe and he'll be happy when she would come and visit the young boy. 

"Really? Where is it? What is it called?" Sejeong called. They are already out of the classroom and getting themselves out of the crowded hallway. Sejeong thught she'll buy her brother some sweets, too. He's been stressing since he came back visiting their parents. 

"It's Euigeon Sweet Cafe." Somi responded happily. For a second, Sejeong was silent. For a moment she thought of Daniel. It's Daniel Cafe, she thought. 

"My friend works there and he'll be happy that I came to visit. And it'll be so special since you're with me." She grabbed hold of Sejeong's arm and happily hopped on the way to the cafe. 

"Daehwi-yah!" Somi called out as soon as she opened the door in the cafe. A few pople were their including the boys.

"Somi-yah! You're here." They immediately each other a big hug and Sejeong just stood there frozen when she saw Daniel at the counter. He was glowing with his new dyed hair and just like that, she knew she likes Daniel. 

"By the way, this is the Unnie I told you about. Unnie~" From that she was back to herself and Somi introduced her to Daehwi. 

"Sejeong Unnie, this is my friend Daehwi." She smiled and offered he hands to the young lad. She knew about Daehwi since he is one of Jaehwan's dongsaengs.

"Unnie, good thing you came here." Daehwi said to Sejeong, "You know each other?" Somi asked to her, and she replied a yes. 

"Unnie is hyung younger sister. She's been here since last week. Right?" Sejeong just nodded. After a little conversation, the girls decided to order something to eat. It is Somi's treat and Sejeong was thankful.

Sejeong offered to get the order in the counter. And she was nervous. Because of Daniel is by the counter and she doesn't know what to say or do. As she was approaching the counter, she and Daniel's eyes met and a split of seconds, Daniel is smiling towards her. 

"Hi!" He was the one who greeted first, "Hi." Sejeong replied. 

"Is this your order?" he asked and the young lady nod shyly. 

"Let help you bring it to your table." Before handing down the tray, Daniel got out of the counter table and helped Sejeong bring the heavy try to their table. On the other hand, the younger boys in the cafe noticed that Daniel was being nice to Sejeong. It was unusual.

"Hyung, did you treat Daniel hyung today?" Jinyoung asked Seungwoo, who is glaring to Daniel secretly. 

"No, I didn't. We just had eggs for breakfast today and ramen for lunch. I'm even hungry. Give me food boys!" He said, demanding. 

"Daniel is unsual whenever Sejeong unnie is around." Daehwi commented. 

"Yeah, I noticed." Seungwoo agreed.

"Is it possible that hyung likes-" Daehwi couldn't finish his sentence when Daniel came back to the counter and smiling. 

"Yah! What was that- that- that," it was Seungwoo, and hesitating but Daniel just ignored the boys and continued to work.

That night, Sejeong decided to visit the old playground she used to hang out with Jaehwan. And besides, she thought, Jaehwan is not around. He's in the studio working on his new project. She just find home very lonely when she is alone. 

She bought chips, cookies, snacks and soda. She'll be having her own 'me' time tonight and she'll be home by eight to have dinner. She doesn't like dinner that much. She only knows how to cook ramen and that's all. 

As soon as she reached the playground, she placed the groceries in a vacant bench and sat down. 

It would be nice for someone to accompany her.

On the other hand, Daniel was walking alone and getting some fresh air in a neighboring playground. The house is in chaos today since the boys are having a major party for Samuel's achievement in school. He just excused himself to get some fresh air. 

He got his phone in the pocket of his pants and scrolling through the contacts. Just then he saw Sejeong's phone number. He just wants to talk to her like all. All along he realized that Sejeong is the girl she prayed for. 

"Yeah. I'll be home by eight. I'm just hanging out alone." Daniel heard a conversation nearby, so he just decided to checked out who is it. To his suprise, he saw Sejeong eating all by herself. A smile was immediately painted in his face.

He walked towards Sejeong and the young woman is still busy eating.

"Hey. Mind if I accompany you?" Sejeong was startled when she heard Daniel from behind. The scent is just around her.

"Daniel! Uh-uh-hi. What are you doing here?" she said and smiling.

"Well, I was just walking around the playground and noticed that someone was around and that someone is you. Can I accompany you?" 

He laughed that almost sound like a melody to Sejeong's ear.

"Well, yeah. Sure, that would be great." Daniel sat next Sejeong and they were having random stuffs. The school, the cafe and their friends.

Both Daniel and Sejeong had a great night. After a long conversation, they decided to call it a day. Daniel offered to walk Sejeong home. Upon arriving, Sejeong gave thanks to Daniel.

"Thanks for today. I owe a lot and I should treat you some time." She said to the young man. Daniel just laugh, cutely scratching his nape, "Well, it's a pleasure to accompany you anytime. Don't bother treating, I should be the one treting you." He replied.

"Thanks for the company. I'll be heading home now. You should, too." She waved goodbye and the young man started to walk towards home. 

Indeed, it was a good night for both Daniel and Sejeong.
