2 minutes
1 minute and 40 seconds
1 minute and 30 seconds
1 minute and 6 seconds
Jeah was looking at her pocket watch while mentally counting down the time before the great Haechan would arrive. It was about a minute before their agreed time.
30 seconds
Apparently, she was too early so she ended up having to wait for the hopefully just on time guy.
10 seconds
And being the kid with mild ADHD, she had to fancy herself with something. This time, it was counting time.
2 seconds
'You better be on time, Haechan.' She thought of random things for the last 2 seconds just to get her mind out of the idea that the guy was late and will surely be extremely late.
Times up.
"JEAH!" From a distance, he heard a loud yet icy voice a few meters away from her. When she turned to check it out, there he was. Just like how he would usually dress himself, casual yet mysterious and he never failed to wear one accessory that made him him -- that stone-faced expression.
He lazily walked closer to the girl who had only realized that her friend, at least for her he was a friend, dripping wet. She didn't want to ask for she knows that she'll never get an answer, not from mystery himself.
Risking the possibility of not getting an acceptable response, she looked at him and asked, "what took you so long, human?"
"An idiot." What is wrong with him? Can he not answer me with something comprehensible? Something with more than three words, at least! All her rants about this guy in front of him that she almost didn't notice him say another word.
"No." Did he just read my mind? Did he just answer the question in my head?
Haechan just shook his head in annoyance. How did he even get in this situation? All he remembered is that he was near the lake nearby waiting for something he believed was inevitable when a girl about a year older than him came to pull him to the bank. Stupid woman.
"What do you want?"
"Wow, did you just say something with four words?"
"Noisy girl," was all he said before starting to walk away like Jeah was nothing but air.
"Hey," Jeah tried calling. "I just wanted you to check my phone, you're such a techie anyway."
Without turning his back to look at the poor girl desperate of help he askes sarcastically, "Since when?"
"I don't know, okay, but look I just bought this phone yesterday and I just can't seem to set the correct time."
"Not my problem," was all he said before funally walking away to face his own problems.
That idiot! Jeah wanted to shout her thoughts but no. Not when the guy with too much idiosyncrasies is still in the area.
When she has silenced her thoughts she was able to hear the strumming of a guitar not so far away. She looked for it only to find it from behind a tree. It was accompanied by manly and soothing voice. Just like a curious cat , she went to check who the person was.
Behind the tree was a guy around her age, with a clean undercut. It was kinda appealing to her. Soon, she found herself dreaming while staring at tue stranger.
Shocked, that was how she felt when the guy turned his head. He immediately saw her which made her embarrassed, adding the fact that she desperately tried to act cool and innocent.
"Hey," she started, hoping to start a good conversation and probably end the awkward atmosphere caused by her stupidity. Although hesitating she continued, "I was just walking around when I heard you. I'm sorry for interrupting. I'll go now."
The guy didn't even have time to react when she started running away due to embarrassment. Oh my goodness, Jeah. What did you just do? That guy could have wanted alone time, he's probably annoyed.
Do you notice how this girl loves talkig to herself in her mind? Yeah you should notice because that's just how she contains her feelings. At some point, her method gets dangerous since she won't notice the people around her. This time, her phone dropped because her grip loosened. Damn ya, thoughts!
The moment she moved to pick it up, another hand already did. As cliché as it is but they have locked gazes and realized they were the each others from earlier under the tree.
The guy notices the phone's vibration and saw the time.
"You should fix the time on your phone," he said with a smile before leaving.
When Jeah checked her phone, it says 00:01. It will never be set correctly, damn it!
