Chapter 2: First Day
AUTUMN'S POV
I groaned as my alarm beeped, my hand finding the snooze button and pressing it. I snuggled back into bed, allowing myself five more minutes to sleep.
Exactly five minutes later, my alarm beeped again. I grumbled and shut my alarm off, sitting up. I rubbed my eyes and stretched, swinging my legs over the side of the bed. I looked across the room and saw that Rachel wasn't in her bed. I shrugged, figuring she was in the bathroom and stood up, diggng through my drawers.
I decided on a My Chemical Romance T-Shirt and black skinny jeans. I quickly began to get dressed, hoping Rachel wouldn't walk in. Once I was dressed, I grabbed my toothbrush, toothpaste, brush and makeup, walking into the bathroom that our floor shared. There were about five girls at the sinks, leaving one open.
I rushed to the sink before anyone else could grab it, and set my stuff down. I picked up my brush and quickly brushed my hair, wincing as I hit knots. Once my hair was brushed, I wet my toothbrush and put toothpaste on it, brushing my teeth. I spit and rinsed, picking up my makeup next.
I lined my eyes with black eyeliner and added some black mascara. I put on some concealer to hide my dark circles and decided that was enough for today. I gathered up my stuff and made my way back to my room, Rachel sitting on her bed.
"Is there any food?" I asked, putting my stuff away. She pointed to a mini fridge, since her mouth was full and I thanked her. I decided on a bottle of Mountain Dew and a bag of chips. I never really was a breakfast person. I sat on my bed and quickly ate, throwing away my trash when I was done.
I pulled out my brand new pair of black converse and slid those onto my feet. I tied them and picked up my phone from where it was charging on the bedside table. I checked to see if had any messages and saw one from my mom.
Mom~ Have a good day at school, honey :)
Autumn~ Thanks.
After replying to her, I stuffed my phone into my pocket and pulled out a breath mint, popping it into my mouth.
"Ready?" Rachel asked and I nodded. I folded up my schedule and stuffed it into my pocket, following Rachel out of the room. We walked all the way across campus to where our english class was located.
"I'm going to get so lost." I said, just loud enough so Rachel could hear me.
"You'll find your way." She smiled as we walked into the class. I looked around, wondering if Tony had gotten here yet.
"Autumn!" I heard Tony exclaim. I looked up and saw him waving me over.
"Come on." I said, grabbing Rachel's wrist and pulled her over to Tony.
"Tony!" Rachel squealed, hugging him. "I missed you!"
"I missed you too Rach." He said as I sat next to Tony and Rache sat in front of me.
"How do you two know each other?" Rachel asked.
"We literally bumped into each other yesterday." Tony laughed. "What about you guys?"
"Room mates." I answered and he nodded. A few minutes later, the bell rang and the teacher walked in.
"Good morning class, I am going to be your english teacher this year, Mr. Steele." He said, writing his name on the board. "Welcome back, I hope you all had a great summer. Let's start by taking role." He went down the list, calling out names. Once he was done, he got back up and stood in front of the class again.
"For your first assignment, I'd like you to take out a piece of paper." The next minute was filled with ruffling of paper as everyone got out a piece for themselves and their friends.
"Okay, I want you to write a list of things you did over the summer. You have one minute, go." Everyone began writing, some lists longer then others. "Okay, pencils down." Mr. Steele said, exactly a minute later.
"Now, get into groups of two or three and share what you did with your group." Rachel turned around to face Tony and I and began reading off of her list. As we were reading our lists, I found one thing in common. We all went to Warped Tour over the summer. Different dates of course, but we all went.
"Okay, now pick one thing off of your list and write at least a page about it."

"This food looks so much better then the cafeteria food at my old school." I said as I began eating my lunch.
"You've got to admit, the workers here sure know how to cook. This stuff has always been amazing." Tony said,
"So, Tony, how long have you been going here?"
"Sixth grade." He shrugged and I nodded. "My parents thought I would get a better education here. I don't know about a better education, but I sure do love it here."
"Yeah, it seems like a nice school." I smiled. Tony and I mostly talked for the rest of lunch while Rachel just listened. We had already got to know each other yesterday and I'm pretty sure Rachel and Tony knew about each other a lot.
"So, why did you leave your old school?" Tony asked.
"Bullying, depression. It sucked." I said and he nodded. "What's one thing about yourself that other people would never guess." I asked and he shrugged.
"I guess that I'm obsessed with Star Wars and turtles. So much, that everyone calls me Turtle."
"That's what I'm calling you from now on." I smirked.
"Alright." He said with a smile. We continued talking for the rest of lunch before Rachel and I had to go to our creative writing class and Tony had to go to his class. We said goodbye and went our seperate ways.

"So, how do you like Ridgeway?" Rachel asked as we were getting ready for bed that night.
"I think I'm going to have a lot of fun here." I said with a smile.
