You stop at a door at check the small metal plate hung next to it. It reads "Room 204, Mrs. Yeon"
You take a deep breath and straighten up. "This is it" you think, "My first impression on my new classmates and my teacher." You're about to open the door, but your hand freezes inches from the doorknob. Anxiousness washes over you and fear grips your hand. You're not aware of how long you've been standing there but soon a large, sturdy hand brushes past yours and twists the doorknob.
You look up and a tall, attractive guy is glaring at you. Or at least it feels that way. He has somewhat large eyes and they're deep and cold. His husky voice finally breaks the silence between you and he says, "You know how to open a door, right?". You shake yourself from his gaze and mutter, "Um. yeah." He looks you up and down and the edge of his lips lift into a crooked half-smile. "Well if you ever forget I'd be glad to open them for you" he says. "Oh my god, did he just flirt with me?" you think to yourself. Your cheeks begin to warm up and you look away before you can embarrass myself anymore.
You walk into the classroom and a sea of students stares at you. The guy follows you in and Mrs. Yeon raises her eyebrows and asks, "And who might you be?". You steady your voice and say in a confident voice, "I'm y/n. I'm new and I just transferred here." You bow and Mrs. Yeon says in a warmer tone, "Well it's nice to have you here, y/n."
Her eyes shift to the guy behind you and her voice returns to it's hard tone, "Taehyung. Late again I see." He chuckles and says, "I was helping y/n find her way. She was lost." You whip your head around and give him a look of disbelief. But his piercing eyes tell you to play along and not cause any trouble. So you smile sweetly and say, "Yes, he helped me find this class. It's a big school and I got lost in the east wing. Please pardon us, Mrs. Yeon." Mrs. Yeon nods her head and you search for an empty seat. All the students stare at you as you awkwardly make your way to a seat near the back. When you see Taehyung walking towards you my heart tightens. "No no no.....please don't be in the seat next to me" you pray. But when you look around, there are no other empty seat besides, of course, the one next to you. He sits down and you sigh. This is going to be a long period.
You can't stop looking over at Taehyung. He has such a nice figure and he's really quite attractive. His hair swept in a messy but cute style. His biceps clinging to the sleeves of his school uniform. His lips plump and pouty. When you look over at him for about the third time, he looks back. Your instinct is to look away but there's something in his eyes that make you so allured. So your eyes meet for a second, and then you look away, hoping he wouldn't pay any attention to what just happened, but he does. Out of the corner of my eyes you see him smile that same crooked smile at you. It takes all of your self control not to look at him again, but you manage to make it through the period. The bell rings and you get out the door as fast as you can because you're scared that if you have to interact with him again you won't be able to stop thinking about him.
As you're stepping out the door a hand grabs your arm. You turn around to face not Taehyung but instead a girl. She says, "Hey, you're y/n right?" You nod and she takes a breath of relief. She lets go of your arm and smiles. "Sorry to do that to you. But you're new and I just wanted to see if you wanted anyone to sit with at lunch today." You smile and say, "Sure, thanks." Worry slips away as you've have just made your first friend. "Ok great. I'll be at table three. By the way, I'm Ji-su."
Lunch comes faster than anticipated and you find Ji-su at her table. You make friendly conversation as she asks where you're from, how your first day has been, and if you've met anyone. You reply with America, good, and you say not really. Then you remember Taehyung. You hesitate, wondering if you should tell Ji-su, but since it's not like you have anyone else you can talk to you decide to tell her. "Actually, do you know Taehyung? He's in my math class and he seems pretty cute." Ji-su's eyes widen and she says, "Oh nonononono you CANNOT like Taehyung. Seriously, anybody but him. He's the worst Bangtan Boy" Your heart drops. "Why not? And who are the Bangtan Boys?" you ask naively. "The Bangtan boys are these seven close friends, almost like brothers. They're all really attractive, but some of them are just plain trouble. Plus, Taehyung goes through girls like pencils. He sharpens them, breaks them, and then throws them out and gets and new one." Ji-su says. She must have seen that you looked surprised and hurt because she says, "Listen, you're pretty and you're new here. I just don't want you to get hurt. There are lots of nice guys here. Of course Taehyung attractive and as you've probably already noticed quite the flirt, but trust me he's dangerous. You do NOT want to get involved with him." You tell Ji-su that you'll keep your distance and she gives you a look of satisfaction. You continue talking about your classes and best after-school hangouts in Seoul, but you can't keep your mind from drifting to Taehyung. His mysterious eyes, smooth, husky, voice, and strong build keep on slipping into your mind.
Staying away from him is going to be way more difficult than you thought.
