The yellow school bus comes to a stop. Me and a few others slug onto the bus.

"Bitch," Kyra cackles.

"Glad to see your mirror's working," I reply, falling into my usual seat.

"Shut the fuck up!" She groans, tugging on her dark hair.

I nod and shove my headphones into my ears.

The rest of the ride is decent, Kyra shoots daggers at me through her mascara covered eyes.

Before I know it I'm in my first class of the day, AP Chemistry.

"Good morning Ms. Beasly," I coo as I place my things on to my half of the lab table.

"Good morning Mr. Bieber; how are you today?" Ms. Beasly is new. By that I mean this is her first year teaching. She's surprisingly good at all of this for only being 23.

"I'm alright," I reply and take out my completed chemistry homework.

"Glad to hear that. I hate to be rude but what happened to your face?"

People stare and eavesdrop as they come into the class.

"I was punched in the face, same as usual."

Ms. Beasly gives me a sympathetic look that makes me want to jump off of the top of this building.

With that conversation coming to a close, I grab the book that I bought yesterday and begin to read.

Halfway through class there's a knock at the door. "One second class," Ms. Beasly says, clearly agitated by the disruption.

The principal, Mr. McGregor, stands proudly next to, my heart begins to pound against my chest, Ariana. She's absolutely stunning, a work of art. Although she may not be dressed like a princess, she looks amazing in just a plain white t-shirt and jean shorts. I nearly gasp at the sight of her.

"Good morning class! Today I am not only here to see some of the brightest minds in the county, but I am also here to introduce a new student to Granite Hills High," He stands proudly, scanning the room, searching for some sort of excited reaction.

"Ms. Beasly, I'll leave the rest of this to you," Mr. McGregor smiles brightly before heading out of the room, loudly closing the door behind him.

"Ariana please introduce yourself to the class," Ms, Beasly says and goes back to her desk to gather papers.

"Do I have to?" Ariana's sweet voice makes my cheeks go red.

"Yes Ariana," Ms. Beasly answers in frustration.

"Hi everybody," Her wide fearful eyes search the room until they land on me. An adorable grin spreads across her face.

"My name is Ariana Grande," She continues, her eyes still locked on me.

"I dance, play soccer, breathe, eat, sleep, and defecate daily."

The class hollers in laughter which irritates Ms. Beasly.

"Interesting use of vocabulary Ms. Grande. Do I need to send you back down to the principal?"

Ariana rolls her perfect brown eyes, "No m'am."

My lab partner, Henry, whispers in my ear, "She's hot, boutta catch me smash."

Instinctively, I respond, "The only thing anyone will 'catch you smash,' is a scale you fat ass."

He's stunned, Henry's always been a little self conscious.

"Sorry man, I was just annoyed."

Henry is a friend of Blaine's, they're not super close but they talk daily. Anyways, any friend of Blaine's is a pain in my ass.

"Do you know the chick or something?"

I nod, "Kind of."

"Cool," He mutters sheepishly.

Ms. Beasly walks over to us, "Henry, it seems that sitting next to Justin has really been helping you! I think you're doing well enough to switch with Ariana."

Ariana stands confidently behind Ms. Beasly.

Henry frowns, "Where will I sit?"

"In the back, there's an empty lab table that Ariana was originally going to be placed in, but I want to be able to keep a close eye on her along with the academic support Justin can offer."

Henry groans but does as told, taking all of his things off the table and walks to the very back of the room. He'll have fun.

Ariana plops her tiny body next to me, "Justin, I had no idea you were such a nerd."

I laugh slightly, "Not on purpose."

Ms. Beasly comes around passing papers.

"Shit," Ariana mumbles.

I scan the sheet, "Easy."

She mumbles more curse words under her breath as I fly through the assignment.

"Justin?" She asks kindly, placing a hand on my shoulder.

A shiver runs down my spine, "Y-yes?"

"We're gonna have lunch together. You're going to teach me everything I'd need to know to survive the year." Ariana demands while tracing random shapes on the table.

"Cool," I reply. Better than sitting with the quiet nerds.

I pray Blaine doesn't mess with me today, that no one bothers with me today.

"Chicken tenders please," I say to the lunch lady. She nods and places 4 tenders on to a tray.

Ariana orders the same. I grab us apples and chocolate milk before sneaking to an empty table.

She sits across from me, "Sorry I was acting so shy the other day."

"You don't need to apologize," I respond while opening my milk.

"So do who do you usually sit with?" Ariana pulls the hair behind her shoulders.

My face begins to turn a bright scarlet, "No one."

She looks at me in confusion.

"Actually, I don't think you should be seen with me."

Ariana's expression turns cold, "Justin, what are you saying to me right now?"

"Hey fucker!" Blaine screeches.

"Hello bitch boy," I sigh. Ariana will surely know not to be seen with me after I get another blow to the face. Yesterday he punched softly, so there wasn't much of a bruise. Today may be different considering I have company.

He strolls over closer to us and sits himself beside me.

"Who's the female?" Blaine asks, snagging a tender off my tray.

"Her name is Ariana; she's new." Ariana inspects the boy next to me.

"Justin, is this a friend of yours?" She asks quietly.

Blaine chuckles lowly, "No princess, Justin and I are quite the opposite of friends."

I place my head in my hands.

"I'm not your princess, little boy." I look up at her, her face is contorted into a twist of anger and humor.

Blaine looks shocked, "Justin get control of your girl, or I will." With that he drums on the table and walks away.

"What a bitch," Ariana grumbles.

I nod in agreement, delighted that I didn't get punched.
