Oliver POV:
"Oliver!" The annoying, nagging voice of my wife yelled. Oh great, she was coming into my office.
It's not that I never loved my wife, because I did. I loved a lot. She was my high school sweetheart, I thought she was my forever but I was so wrong. How can you love something for making you do things you never wanted to do? Or for not ever asking what you want? Well that's my wife Erin, she pushed and pushed me to run for president, and all her pushing paid off; I ran and won the election.
Her and my father won against me. They just pushed until I gave in, am I stupid for it? Well yes but she threatened to leave me and take our son away, that's one of the reasons I gave in. I couldn't let her take Blake away from me, he was my son.
I snapped right out of my thoughts when the door opened and Erin appeared in the door way then walked in while shutting the office door. If the flooring didn't have a large carpet per it her heals would click against the floor like they always did. I was glad the annoying sound wouldn't fill my ears, but yet her voice did.
"Yes, honey?" I put my pen down and looked at her with a fake smile plastered onto my face.
"Well first of all," She started. "The maid misplaced Blake's favourite action figures. Blake had to look all of his room and mess it all up again!" I wanted to sigh because this was all Erin. Blake had no problem looking for his toys or messing his room up then cleaning it but Erin made the maids do it all. To her they were always doing something wrong. "And second of all, the cook put strawberries with my breakfast. You know I hate strawberries!"
"I'll talk to them, Erin." I told her with a sigh.
"You better, Oliver. I don't want that shįt to happen again."
"There's no need to swear, Babe." Blake was catching on to Erin swearing all the time now, he even started saying things she said. If she called on of the maids a stupid cünt so would Blake. After my long talk with him after he's said something like that I would personally apologize to whoever it was said to. Even if only Erin said something. It wasn't fair to them, I've tried to talk to Erin but it never works. Ever. Erin does what Erin wants.
Satisfied with my answer, she turned and walked out of my office. I slumped in my chair and ran my hand through my hair. I was more then glad I'd be going on a presidential tour and meetings. Erin decided she wanted to stay home instead of going which was fine with me.
"Mr. President," My assistant said as he walked in after knocking. "I have the full tour and meetings schedule." He placed the papers in front of me.
I picked up the papers and gave them a quick check. "So the first stop is in New York?" Brett nodded. "Five days there then I spend two days everywhere else. This looks good." I had a lot more meetings in New York then everywhere else so I would be staying for longer.
Most days I wish I was normal, I wish I wasn't president but I'm able to change a lot of things now. I'm able to make lives better and that gives me a bit of joy and pride in who I am.
"We'll be leaving Sunday, Sir."
"Thank you, Brett." Brett left my office and I went back to some paper work I was doing.
*****
It was about eight when I left my office and went to put my son to bed. Every night I would put him to bed. It's the bit of normal the kid had in his life.
