Nova had shot up from her bed, looking up at her alarm clock. It had read that it was past 10:30. "Crap." She mumbled. She didn't see any point in using her vampire speed to help her get ready. So instead she hopped in the shower, brushed her teeth, dressed herself. Before she headed out the door she grabbed a blood bag from the fridge. "You could've told me we were running late, Rain." She hissed under breath.
However, Rain was already gone. Nova had caught sight of her at the entrance of the University, people greeting her, as she walked up. All Nova did was give a simple "Hey" and went about her way. Luckily they were standing under the walkway, which provided plenty of shade. "Hey, you have your sunscreen? I kinda need it." Without saying a word, Rain dug in her backpack and pulled out a small bottle of sunblock. "Thanks." Nova said, as she took it from her head. She looked around taking notice of all the people. "So, what's on the agenda for tonight?" She opened the bottle and poured a general amount into hand, then rubbing it into her skin. "Yeah. Don't forget, there's a party, tonight. You need to be there."
Nova raised a brow in confusion, a brow raised. "Why, exactly do I have to come?" Rain rolled her eyes. "How about there could be more potential suspects?" Nova shook her head. "Nuh-uh. Bad idea. The last party I went to, was how I ended being a vampire in the first place. Besides, how am I supposed to know what the dude looks like? Remember, you found me at the park and I woke up in the hospital, last year." It was Rain's turn to raise a brow. She rolled her eyes in slight annoyance and said, "Maybe if we run into him, it'll spark something in your mind." Nova remaining silent for a moment. Thinking it over she gave a nod. "Alright, fine. But stay close to me. I don't want you accidentally finding a different vampire and end up like me, or worse." With this said, Nova went inside the building, Rain following behind.
Listening to this, this made only made Rain worry more for her little sister. She never used to be this...protective. Not since last year's party. Ever since then, she'd always wondered what went through Nova's mind. How she felt, how she was handling things. She was distant. She never used to be this way. She looked for a reason to get Nova's mind off of the party. Her first thought was her hair.
"You should get a haircut, No-No. Don't you think it's getting a bit long?" She ran her fingers through it. Nova looked up at her bangs. "It is getting a bit harder to see. Maybe I should cut it." Rain breathed out a sigh of relief. Quick thinking there, Rain, she thought.
