Tessa's POV

" Soooooo..." My best friend, Kathy said.

" Sooooo, what?" I asked not understanding what she was getting at.

" Did you not see Zayn this morning?" she questioned.

" Yea I saw Zayn.....i see him everyday, we live close to each other and he's my ride to school........." I replied confused.

" No, I mean when Jake kissed you."

" Ugh", I groaned, knowing where this was going, " not this again, c'mon Kathy, give it up"

" No, not until you realize that Zayn has feelings for you" she said.

Kathy has this crazy theory thatZayn has an insane crush in me and has had one since we met him in grade 2.

"Kathy, no Zayn do-"

" Kathy, Tessa?" our English teacher, Mrs. Mix,interrupted us, " would you like to share with the class the topic of your conversation that makes you two assume that it's much more important than what I'm teaching you?"

" Well Mrs. Mix, if you must know, we were discussing star-crossed lovers, and since we are studying Juliet and Romeo, we're not off topic." Kathy smartly replied, smirking at Mrs. Mix.

" Very well then, I presume then that you shall find what I am going to be explains to the class very interesting then, hmm?" Mrs. replied, " ok class, we are going to be working on a project where you are working with, gasp, a GUY and guys you will terrifyingly be working with, gasp, a girl. Your partners however, will not be from this class. They will be from Mr. Archer's English class. One more thing, I will be choosing your partners."

At that, the whole class groaned in union.

" Yes, yes I know, ' oh no miss, do we have to' yes you do.", She said mimicking us, " now, Kathy, you will be with Matt Espinosa, Jackie, with Carter Reynolds, Alyssa and Jake Grant ( I realize I probably never told you guys his last name) Tessa with Zayn, Allison with Nash Grier, Rose with Cameron Dallas, Madison with Jack G, Karen with Aaron Carpenter."

" You and Zayn?, it just be fate" Kathy smirked at me.

I ignored her comment, my cheeks burning up.

" Now for the boys", Mrs. M continued, " Hayes with Mahogany-"

( I made Hayes older in this one, he's like 18 like Kathy and Zayn, Tessa's 17 but soon turning 18 and it's their senior year.)

" I know you can hear me because your blushing" Kathy commented, making me blush even more, " If I were you, I'd watch out for Alyssa with Jake, I hear she's got it bad for him."

As if she heard, just as Kathy told me that, Alyssa turned, looked straight at me, applied lipstick and smirked, knowing what she was implying.

" It's ok, I trust him." I said, suddenly unsure of myself.
