Fuck.

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK!

That's the only word that seemed to run through my mind as the very expensive, very delicate, and very ancient Korean vase fell crashing to the ground, shattering into hundreds of tiny little pieces.

"JASMINE! PERÉZ!" A furious voice growled from behind me.

Shit.

Shit, shit, shit, shit, SHIT!

I whirled around frightened, teapot still in hand, only to accidentally cause the hot contents of the pot to spill all over my manager's hands in the process.

My jaw dropped down in shock and disbelief.

HOLLY FUCKING SHIT!

Did that really just happen? I swear to God on my mothers dead body that my life is cursed! Why is it that whenever manager Kim is here, something has to go wrong?

No, let me rephrase that...

Why is it that when manager Kim is here, I always have to do something wrong?

Kim looked down at the stain on his sleeve, hot smokes of steam rising out of it. He then looked back up at me, his face getting a slightly darker shade of red by the second.

I gave him a sly smile, "Sorr-"

"YOU'RE FIRED!" His blaring voice echoed throughout the restaurant, causing me to wince, and the customers to go silent.

I opened my mouth to apologize once more.

"GET OUT! NOW!" He shouted furiously, his face redder than a baboon's butt.

I winced once more.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'M SO SORRY!

That poor man... he has always hated my guts, but to be honest, I don't blame him for it. Kim really is a good guy, the problem was with me. I mean if my employee had accidentally tripped me twice in one day, spilled my customers's food on the ground, almost caught my restaurant on fire, broke a vase that's worth over 100,000 dollars then spilled hot tea on me, I'd probably Hulk Smash his face into the ground. Scratch that, I'd definitely Hulk Smash his face into the ground.

Honestly, I'm actually surprised that I just now got fired. I managed to work two whole months here, and judging by the things I have done, he should've fired me sooner. I guess I have his son Jin to thank for that. I mean he was the one who got me this job in the first place! Jin is my little brother's best friend since the first grade, so he's practically considered my little brother as well.

I took off my apron and walked out the door, feeling curious gazes following my every step. Once outside I turned around and looked up at the blue logo that read 'KOREAN BBQ' and frowned. I love Korean barbecue, but now that I'm fired I won't get to have that free meal anymore... nor will I be able to take the leftovers home with me...

Wait, why is my face wet? Did I actually shed a tear? What are you, a drag queen? Pull yourself together Jasmine! Look at how pathetic your life is, you're crying over food? Food?! Who does that?! Maybe it's time for you to just give up on life. I mean it's clearly given up on you. I think I'll just-
