"thank you for the meal. how should i pay, cash or credit? " i asked searching for my purse.
"no! yun, you're not gonna pay. i'm gonna pay since i'm the oldest and i'm rich, " yoongi mocked as he took out his card to pay while hoseok and jimin just groaned at him.
"let's go now. we don't want your brother to worry about you do you? " jimin questioned while pushing me outside holding my shoulder.
"brother? how do you know i have brother? i never told you guys," i questioned puzzled.
"oh that," yoongi lazily replied,"we always hear you and your brother having little singing competition and quarrels."
"sorry for the inconvenience then, yoongi," i apologised with a bow to show 'respect' for him and walked forward
"you little piece of shit. don't you dare mock me like that," yoongi cursed.
"sure grandpa! "i fired back at him with a big fake grin.
"oh baby girl, don't call me grandpa. i might be much more older than him," he retorted with a smirk.
"sure. sure. "
-
"hey, yun why didn't you come to work yesterday. i had to do all the work myself!" mingyu complained as soon as i stepped inside the cafe the next day.
"i went to eat out with my neighbours," i shrugged.
"you went to eat out alone?! why didn't you call me? "
"hey! i tagged along with them, they fed me not the other way around! "
"that's not fair! " the boy pouted and was about to say something but mark cut him off.
"boy and girl, get your asses back here to work and don't quarrel about useless things," mark ordered without looking at us while making coffee.
"alright, sir mark," sighing i went behind the counter to take orders while mingyu dragged himself near mark and continued doing his work.
"oh! yun. good to see you again! "
hearing an all too familiar voice greet me, i raised my head to see the face of the person i see almost everyday. jung hoseok."hey hoseok. what would you like to order? " i smiled at him and saw that there were four other people people behind him. i recognised the people as min yoongi, park jimin, an unfamiliar face and ... kim taehyung? he knows hoseok?
throwing the smile i have grown to adore he said, "like the last time, i would like to order five americanos. we all have similar taste in coffee."
"alright! americanos for five. go take a seat, " i suggested him and walked to mingyu and mark trying to avoid the looks the four boys behind him were sharing with each other by looking at me.
"um actually no. i would like a chandelier for five please."the comment pissed me off.
"i'm sorry, but we don't serve coffees to monkeys," i said with a forced smile to the owner of the voice.
"why are you so mad, baby girl? did i piss you off? " the boy smirked at me.
when i was about to retort at him with a smart ass comeback, jimin intervened in the conversation, if that's what we call it.
"yoongi hyung, c'mon. don't trouble the poor girl. she might be tired from her long day in her university and here you are troubling her, " he said and started pushing yoongi away from the counter and threw me a smile which resulted him in losing his eyes.
"yun, don't mind him. he's just pissed because he didn't get his beauty sleep," hoseok said and walked away with two other boy trailing behind him.
"how do you know her hyung? " i heard an unfamiliar voice ask him and looked up at the direction they went.
"i'll explain later. "
-
it was nearly an hour since hoseok and his friends came over but they still haven't left yet. they were glancing at me time to time. i was growing more anxious under their gaze for the reason even i don't know. so i decide to help mingyu and mark in making coffee.
"mingyu. go and work at counter. it's your turn now. i'm handling coffee now," i told him and walked to the direction where mark and mingyu was.
the said boy nodded his head and went to the counter. and took order of the customer.
"so mark we have a caramel macchiato ordered. shall i make it? "
"are you are you can make it? i mean you don't even know it professionally, " mark sent me worried glace.
"no problem. i can handle it. since you're the one who taught me! " i sent him a wink and did a gesture by bring my both hands up with thumb and forefinger crossing each other.
he just shook his head and chuckled.
"okay. just don't destroy it. "
i thanked him and started making macchiato.
as i was half way down my job, i saw hoseok and his friends with grumpy grandpa leaving their table.
"yun , we're leaving. thanks for the coffee yun's boss," hoseok exclaimed from his table and blew a kiss.
i waved at him and they got out of the cafe with jimin trailing at the back of the group who sent me a wink and a smile which i was compelled to return back.
