"I'll admit I'm impressed by your vanishing act place your bets on your best guess of when your coming back."

*3rd Person POV*

Cody walked into Shay's apartment after a late night of studying. He kicked his shoes off by the door, and threw his bag by the coat rack. Studying drained all of his energy he had left from school, so he quickly grabbed an apple and a bottled water.

Shay came out of the bathroom in clean clothes. She was wearing grey shorts with a pale pink short sleeved top, with white slippers that tied the outfit together. Her hair was a darker shade of brown making her hair almost look black. The hair on her head held loose curls. She came running downstairs to see her pet in the kitchen eating.

"Why were you late today?" Shay asked while shooting daggers out of her eyes to Cody.

"I stayed late in the library catching up on some class work." Cody struggled to get the words out.

"So you think you are able to eat because you came hours after the scheduled time I set up." She strongly said.

"I do have a right to eat when, where, what I eat." Cody said with a stern look.

"Throw that apple away right now, and put that water you have in your hands back in the fridge." Shay said inching closer and closer toward Cody.

"I would like to continue to eat this apple, and drink this bottled water at my own will, and with peace." Cody said trying to avoid what was going to happen.

As Cody tried to back away Shay quickly grabbed Cody's wrist with a tight grip and pulled him toward her.

"I said you will not be eating this apple." Shay said smacking the apple violently out of his hand.

After the apple was smacked out of Cody's hand, and rolling on the ground she grabbed the half empty water bottle, and poured the rest on top of his head. When the water bottle was emptied on Cody's head she threw a hard punch on to Cody's jaw. The pressure being applied toward his jaw made him face backwards, and fall to the ground.

Cody tried to catch himself falling to the ground, but was off by just a few seconds. He held his jaw out of instincts, and tried not to focus on the pain. As Cody laid lifelessly on the ground Shay made her way to Cody just to kick him on the back. She kept kicking his back with one leg, and eventually switched to the other leg. Minutes had passed and she was still kicking him on the back. Cody was not able to bare the pain he had on his spine, and screamed out of the pain he felt.

His eyes started to become wet, and his perfect vision was beginning to grow blurry. The tears forming in his eyes broke, and was streaming down his face. She finally stopped with the kicking, and Cody let out a heavy breath he didn't know he was holding. Shay grabbed him by the arm once more jerking him to stand up.

"I don't think you have learned your lesson yet." Shay said while a smirk formed on her lips.

She pushed Cody into the cabinet making the handles stab him right in the back where he was just being kicked. The intense pain was being shot through his body, and more tears were being threatened to spill. Hiding the pain he had emotionally and physically was hard, but covering the tears was another.

Cody stood up in front of the counter waiting for something to happen. He stood waiting as time seemed to stop. The world he stood on seemed to spin slower, than it had already had. The blue sky with beautiful white clouds soft as cotton seemed to turn darker filling the sky with evil and pure hatred. The colorful flowers in the ground a representation of a rainbow was now a burning flame that would just become stronger as time slowly went on. The happy children playing in the streets exchanging secrets and laughing their heads off, now a dark cloud overshadowed their happiness and depression took over the poor kids mind.

The green soft grass turned into lava. Animals that had gotten along now began World Was III. Everything that was good, and everything that will never be good again now showed the dark side of living. The hatred people show to other people, and shower the world with dark that should be light was all he could see now. His eyes didn't allow him to see the goodness in a person, and made him think the worst things humanly possible.

What Cody never saw was that there is good in the world. The light will help you escape the darkened world he was thrown into. There are certain people that will show you what it is to be loved. Those certain people are closer than he would every think.

All of a sudden his mind was brought back into reality when he heard a loud bang coming from a pot. Shay stood only inches away from Cody. Without a warning he felt a slight pain in his stomach, and all became black.
