*Cody POV*
I approached my friends at a slow pace seeing if anyone one of them would notice. Well son of a gun someone did notice.
"Hey Cody hurry up old man!" Maxx yelled from the table.
I sped up my pace walking to the table.
"Thought you would have never noticed." I stated whiling rolling my eyes.
All of use continued to catch up on each others lives when someone unexpected started to walk up to our table. Shay was wearing her black high heels with skimpy shorts that showed an inch to much of skin. Her shirt was no different than her shorts.
"How is my lovely boyfriend on such a beautiful morning?" Asked Shay sounding as nothing as happened.
"Same as always." Cody stated.
I really wanted to finish my sentence, but I knew my friends would have figured out the secret I have been keeping from them for so long. I wanted to tell how desperate I was, and how much I needed help from saving myself from more damage. My thoughts were soon to be finished when Shay grabbed me by my shirt and pulled me into a long fake kiss.
"You better not be late like last night." Shay said harshly, "It will be worse this time, I will make sure of that."
Shay abruptly walked away from our table and to her friends. Cody took a seat at the table and started to chat away the minutes. Our conversation was ended when the bell rang to tell us to go to class. We all parted our ways and headed to our designated classes.
After a couple hours of classes it was time for class. I started to head to my locker to get my money, but I heard faint yelling that caught my attention. I walked closer to the noise to see something I wish I would have never seen. Maxx, Dan, and Zach were all surronded by Austin's gang holding on to each other for dear life. I was to far to hear what they were saying, but it was clear that the fight was about to get physical.
I knew I needed to help my friends and not stand around being a bystander. I snuck up to Austin's gang and grabbed my friends before they could start swinging punches. I ran to the nearest bathroom and locked us up in a stall.
"How long has this been happening?" I asked wanting answers.
"To long." Answered Zach.
"Why wouldn't you tell me or the teachers?" I asked needing more answers.
"They would keep threatening us." Dan answered this time.
"Why are they even doing this to you?" Asking impatiently.
"Now is not the right time and place to be telling you this." Maxx said looking away with shame.
"Maxx you better tell me why you are letting them do this to you guys!" I asked on the verge of yelling at them.
"Cody stop asking so many questions. I told you already that this is not the time." Maxx said not sparing me a glance.
"It's not the time." Dan stated looking shameful.
Zach was the first to leave the stall. He was not able to handle this situation anymore. After a couple of minutes Dan left looking more scared than he was when he was being surrounded. Maxx stood in the stall sparing glances every once in a while.
"Just give me some time, and I will try and tell you why they are doing this to us." Maxx stated while walking out of the bathroom stale as fast as possible.
