"Thalia?"

Ethan stumbled a little before gaining balance, holding himself and Thalia up. He left his camera hanging around his neck and slipped an arm around Thalia's waist, keeping her close to his chest, lest her head dangle and hurting her neck. He placed his free hand on her forehead and was shocked to feel scorching heat. He looked around for help, but found no one in the near distance.

Thalia shifted in her bed when she felt something weird. Why does her bed feels so weird? Without opening her eyes, she tried shifting about, and moving her left hand to her pillow.

"Fujiyama!" Her eyes flew open as a pain shot through her left arm. A gasp sounded from beside her.

Blinking she tried to make sense of her surrounding. White walls... white bed sheets... pain in her hand... a woman dressed in white fussing over her.

"What happened?" Thalia asked, wincing at the harsh voice coming from her.

"You're in the hospital, m'dear. You had really high fever of 41 degrees celcius and fainted. You're really lucky that your boyfriend sent you here before anything worse happened to you."

The nurse lifted Thalia's hand to inspect it and clucked at the hand. The latter winced at the sight. It was bleeding, the bandages to hold the needle were ripped off and the needle was half outside of her hand.

"My boyfriend?" Thalia's question ended with a yelp. The nurse placed the newly bandaged hand back on the bed.

"There. All new. You should thank the stars that I only have to push the needle back in instead of using a new vein for the drips." the nurse chastised her. "And, yes. That poor boy has been sitting out there for half a day waiting for you to wake up. He was so worried. Ah, young love." The nurse all but sighed at the last sentence. "I'll get the doctor." and she walked out of the door, leaving Thalia alone, dumbfounded.

After the doctor came in to assessed her, the nurse fussed a little more before leaving her alone again, this time exhausted.

She plopped back on the bed, her eyes closing, her body still recovering. As her consciousness drifted, she thought she heard a voice calling her name. She tried to open her eyes, but the effort to do it was to great, so she just gave up and let sleep take her over.

Thalia pulled the covers closer to her and groaned. Her head hurts so badly, and she's freezing her toes off.

"Thalia! Goodness! Are you feeling better? Ouch!" the familiarity of the voice pulled Thalia a little more to consciousness.

"Shh. She's not really awake yet."

"Who cares. She screamed in my ear before I was awake countless times too."

"She's sick, you wasabi!"

"Wasabi?"

"It wouldn't do well to speak fluently in French, would it?"

"True. Also, according to him, he's so sweet, she's been asleep for five hours now!"

"So? Your body needs tons of rest if you're sick."

"So? She has drips! She should recover faster than usual!"

"She has high fever and fainted. You &^$(^%$*!"

"Language woman."

"Oh for goodness sake please shut up!" Thalia rasped, wincing at the horrible voice of hers.

"Ooops?" Giselle shrugged innocently. Layla gave her a whack on the head.

"How're you feeling?" Layla asked, whilst Giselle explored the buttons next to the bed.

"Like the piece of thing that goes down the sewer." Thalia said flatly. Layla laughed. Thalia reached out for the glass of water placed next to her and took a sip out of it, trying to clear all the mucus which was lining her respiratory tract. She lay down on her bed, trying to clear her mind of fogginess enough to grasp what's going on."Who's that sweet boy everybody is talking about?"

Layla gave her an odd look. "You don't remember?"

"Errmm....." Thalia wracked her brain trying to remember the something that she had obviously forgotten. "Well, the last thing I remember was the nurse? No. Wait. Yeah. I was downstairs with Ethan. He was showing me some of the pictures that he had taken. You should see them. They're awesome."

Layla faced-palm herself. "You, Ms. Thalia, fainted on Prince Charming's shoulder, and he brought you to the hospital." she held up a finger to stop Thalia from interrupting. "AND, he didn't just bring you here, but actually carried your butt all the way here cause there were no taxis at that time. Be glad that the hospital's nearby."

"Not to mention that he actually stayed with you until we rushed ourselves crazy here, which was half an hour ago. So technically he stayed with you for lemme see......" Giselle quipped from the corner. "approximately 7 hours?"

Thalia looked confused. "Prince Charming? Who?"

"Ethan, duh. Did the fever rendered you dumb?" Layla rolled her eyes. Thalia's eyes went wide, and her mouth formed a perfect 'o'.

Layla snickered at her best-friend's expression. "Looks like someone has a humongous crush on you, Lya." She elbowed Thalia in the side.

Thalia's thoughts went to the cute boy whom she barely know, much, since she kind of texted him every night in Giselle and Layla's absence, but have only saw him thrice. She softly smiled at the way that they had interacted. The gentle teasing, some comfortable silence, his soothing laugh. She chuckled softly at the memory of one of their phone calls, where Ethan choked on his drink when Thalia cracked a joke and started coughing heavily, and didn't stop for five minutes.

Thalia was cut off from her musings by a loud, shrill beep. She looked up to see Layla's panicked look and Giselle's strickened look, her finger on a red button. Thalia groaned. "Giselle! Don't you know better than to not press any red buttons?"

Giselle looked sheepish, and glanced anxiously at the door when the annoying beeping doesn't stop. "I couldn't resist it." she mumbled, pressing on the red button again and again. "It doesn't stop!" she wailed.

Just then the doctor came rushing in. "What happened? Is the patient alright?"

Thalia blinked. "Yeah. I'm fine. My friend decided to press that red button. Can you make it stop? It's giving me a headache."

The doctor paused, and shot a look at the direction where Giselle was cowering and pressed some buttons on the panel, and the beeping stopped to everybody's relief.

"Young lady. That button is only for emergencies, and I would REALLY appreciate it if you would keep yours hands off unless of emergency. Understood?" The doctor reprimanded Giselle. Giselle mutely nodded.

Apparently the doctor decided that he had enough of trouble, so he proceeded to shoo Layla and Giselle out one hour before the end of visiting hours. When Giselle protested, he glared at her and made an excuse of Thalia having to rest and literally pushed them out of the doors. Layla and Giselle left with the latter grumbling about tempting red buttons and grumpy doctors, and Layla laughing all the way back.

Thalia was left alone with her thoughts, and went to sleep soon after they left, and a certain boy invading her dreams, much to her pleasure.

I FINALLY FINISHED THIS! PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR THIS EXTREMELY LATE UPDATE!

Also, I actually stopped shipping our two friends together, but instead I'm starting to see the story as just Thalia and Ethan (I'm pretty sure my twin is too) and I am falling in love with my new OTP. Any ideas on ship names between Thalia and Ethan? Please comment any ideas below, and love all you lovely readers. ❤
