Chapter 6: He's Telephonin' Me

Yesterday was a very tiring day, but I didn't feel that it was. I don't know. I was kinda happy. Maybe because I spend my whole day with my best friend. Or maybe because Taylor asked me to go out with him. I don't know.

I just woke up and I haven't gotten up from bed yet. I checked if there were any unread messages on my phone. Well, there were. There were 2. One from Tara and the other one is from an unknown number. I read Tara's first.

"Good evening love. Thank you for spending ur day with me. Today was a really wonderful day. Luv u xoxo"

Maybe I was already asleep when she texted me it. I replied:

"Good morning tara. I just read ur text message this morning. And yes. Yesterday was a very wonderful day. Thank u. Luv u too"

I read the message from the unknown number.

"Hope u have a great day today"

I wonder who has to be that person because it's usually just Tara who always sends me morning greetings.

I replied to the unknown number.

"Thanks. Who's this?"

I feel so alive like I wanna start the day and get up so I put down my phone on the table and did the things I always do whenever I wake up every morning: Fix my bed, comb my hair, gargle, and wash my face. After doing those things, I suddenly heard my phone rang. Who has to call me this early? I looked at my phone and saw the unknown number was the one calling. I picked it up.

"Who's this?"

"I'm sorry for the interruption. Well, this is me, Taylor."

It's him. This is going to be a great day, I suppose.

"Oh hi, Taylor. Good morning." I was facing the mirror while talking to him on the phone, so I was seeing my expressions.

"How are you?" Taylor asked.

"You just started my day by asking me how am I, so I feel really great." I thought to myself. I hope I could speak those words unto him. But I can't so I just answered simply. "I'm good. What about you?"

"Good. I just woke up."

"Oh did I disturb you?" I'm so sorry!" I thought it was too early and maybe I disturbed him.

"No, no you didn't. I was the one who called you so maybe I am the one who disturbed you." He always claims himself to be the one's wrong though he's really not.

"No, I am good, and I woke up about an hour ago already."

"Oh I see.."

After saying those words, he said nothing anymore. I thought if there were unnecessary things I've mentioned that made him put into silence. But I think there weren't.

Silence was observed for like 5 seconds.

(Taylor's POV)

And then there came the time that I have nothing else more to say. I always suck at having a good conversation. I tried my best not to run out of words but I always do run out of words. And whenever I experience this, there's only one thing I could say..

"So, what's up?" I tried not to break our conversation.

"Nothing really much. A bit bored. What about you? Bet you are gonna have a hectic schedule today." She said. I like the way she somehow opens random topics. "Same here, kinda bored. Well, not kinda. I'm really bored. And no, I'm not gonna have a busy schedule today. It's Sunday. Actually, I have spare time to hangout with my friends. I'm free today." I wanted to open a topic about, you know. About me asking her to go out. And so I tried.

"So uhm. Stef. You remember what I just asked you yesterday?"

"Of course. Of course I remember it."

"So, I'm just gonna fetch you there at-" I was not yet done talking and she already snapped.

"Uhm, if it's okay to you can we just meet at the Central Park? Because I don't want my parents to know about this yet. You know, me going out with a famous guy and alot.."

"Central Park.. Uhm.." I thought there'll be a lot of people and they might take pictures of me and Stefani and start a topic about us. But then I still agreed like I don't even care, I want to go out with her. "Sure. Lets meet before 11."

"Okay 11!" Stefani's voice sounds kinda enthusiastic. I hope she really is enthusiastic about this first time we're going out. 'Cause I am enthusiastic.

I think I lost out of words again due to the overflowing happiness I am feeling right now that Stef had to go. "I'm sorry I have to do some things right now. I will just see you later. Bye and have a nice day ahead!"

"Okay, bye!"

Stefani ended the call.

I went to the balcony of my room and think about things. I don't know. I quite feel like she's different from the others. I thought it was nothing but I guess I was wrong. She got my attention so easily and I will admit that it was the first time a girl caught me with that short period of time. Her beautiful green eyes, long and shiny brunette hair, the way she walks, the way she moves, the way she smiles, her rabbit teeth, her flawless skin, the way she dresses up. She's very unique and she is so attractive.
