Kadence's POV~

"Do you want the good news or the bad?"
My whole world crashed down as my wolf whimpered and weakened.
What happened? Will she be okay? Will she make it??
More questions roamed my head the more I worried.
"G-good?" Why did I stutter?! What's going on??
"Luna Isabelle will make it.." I sighed in relief. My world remade itself at the sound of hearing my mate being able to live.
Thank Goddess!
"The bad?"
"Luna will be paralyzed for a little while, since the blade was silver. Three weeks maxed. From the hips down"
Paralyzed? No, no, no, no, no!
Plus her next heat will come in 3 weeks!

What am I gonna do?
A soft knock was heard, making both of our heads turn.
The door opens to reveal my Beta and his mate.
"Is it true?" Aaron spoke whilst his mate had tears welling up in her eyes.
"Is she going to make it?" She finally spoke. I nodded but my expression was grim. The pack doctor leaves to let us converse.
"But she will be paralyzed for three weeks maxed. Hips down" I confirmed. Madalynn let out some choked sobs and turned to Aaron.
I turned to look at my mate. This is the second time she had to be in the pack hospital.
I need to keep her safe but I'm even failing at protecting her. Failing at being a mate...
Before I took her in I felt the pain.. until the pack numbed it out and sedated her.
Mother will never see her again or step foot on my territory!
I paced in the room and grunted. I need to diverse a plan...
When she gets her heat- No! Before she gets her heat.. She gets heat signals like laziness... umm... her 2 day fever, which never comes in her first heat but her later ons, umm.... she would act different for sure..
I would need to give her heat pills when I see any of these signals..
Oh Isabelle, my mate. I will never have you hurt again.
I walk to the side of her bed and sit down in the chair.
"Aaron, I need you to take charge of the pack until your Luna gets better, or wakes up. Can you do it again?"
"Anything for my best friend and my Luna" he saluted.
I nodded and put my head in my hands, and my elbows yo my knees.
"Do you want me to call the pack for a meeting and let them know everything?" I pulled my head up and stared heavily at Aaron.
"Yes" was all I said for him to leave and drag a Madalynn wailing Isabelle's name.
I look back at Isabelle and held her hand, still feeling the same soft sparks as always.
My wolfed howled in pain, wanting his mate to wake up and be in our arms.
No matter what, no matter how cheesy this sounds, I will wait for you to awake. No matter what.
I laid my head softly beside her arm.
No matter what....
My lids sealed shut, letting me know it's time to doze off.
Aaron's POV~ (First time with him too xD)

Calming down a pregnant mate is not an easy task.
I firmly placed my hands on her shoulders. "Madalynn, honey, she will be alright" I pulled Madalynn into me and stroked her hair. "If one thing, she is strong. It will only be three weeks, don't worry" I muttered in her hair.
She starts sniffling and breathes, trying to calm down.
"She won't leave her pack baby. She won't leave her mate. Most importantly, she wouldn't leave you" I pull her away and wipe her tears.
"Right now, you need to be strong for her, okay?" She nods and I pull her I'm for another hug.
'We need the whole pack get together in our assembly now!' I commanded as I linked the pack.
I pulled Madalynn with me to the assembly.
Walking for a good minute before opening the doors. I walked up on stage to the patio.
"Thank you everyone, for coming" I said softly in the microphone.
"Our Luna has been critically injured.. the Alpha has left me in charge untill further notice"
"What happened to our Luna?" Cried a little child.
"She... was stabbed with silver... once she awakens, she will be paralyzed for so maximum of three weeks" I confirmed.
There were gasps from adults and cries from children.
"All we can do know is stay strong for our Alpha and Luna..." My mate spoke. I smiled down at her.
"Thank you for joining on such unexpected timing. You may now go" I dismissed.
Soon, everyone was leaving as told.
All we can do now is stay strong.
