I sat in my office looking over some billing information. The company building was almost paid off and I was excited. Soon I would owe no more money and I'll own the place. Obviously I'll still have to pay for the utilities, gas, water, and what not.
"Liam?" Lillian's sweet voice asked. I smiled at her as she stepped in my office.
"Yes?" I questioned taking my glasses off.
"Miss Skylar is in the guest bedroom two down from your room." Lillian informed me.
"Excellent. I should get to bed anyways. Thank you again. I'll see you tomorrow morning." I gave Lillian a hug and she went to the third floor of my home. I put my glasses back on and I made my way to the second floor.
I went to the guest bedroom two down from my room. I knocked quietly and walked in. The lamp was on and Skylar sat on the foot of the bed, "Oh, hello." She said shyly. I walked over to Skylar and sighed.
"Good evening. I hope everything was well so far?" I inquired.
"Oh yes. Thank you very much Mr. Payne. I promise, my stay will be done tomorrow." I nodded.
"Okay. If you need anything at all during the night, Lillian's room is on the third floor four doors down. My room is two doors down to the left from this one." I stood up as Skylar nodded. She got under her covers that had contrast to her tan skin. I turned her lamp off for her and I walked to the door in my grey, silk pajamas.
"Mr. Payne?" Skylar called out.
"Yes Miss Skylar?" I asked. She was silent then spoke again.
"Thank you and goodnight." She spoke ever so quietly.
"It's my pleaser. And goodnight Miss Skylar." I shut her door and went to my room for the night.
