--Cedric's Point Of View--
"He's alive?! Charlie's alive!" I gasped throwing my arms around Arianna who was sqeauling loudly jumping around in my arms, Claude was grinning widely hugging my father tightly "We have to find Sammy." My mood was quickly dampened when I thought about my poor Sammy being out there cold and feral from the trauma of losing Charlie.

"I'll go with you. It was my fault anyway" William nodded opening the front door for me

"Be careful you two" Claude called out wearily, It was still raining outside and it had also been snowing for the past week too which added to the slippery ground.

"Sammy!" I yelled sending a few bird flapping out of the trees trumping through the wet leaves and mud

"Samandriel!" William called out loudly listening closely for any response.

A loud pained howl echoed across the forests and a few small animals scurried out of their hiding spots darting past us away from the predator "I can sense him near the lake" I climbed over a fallen tree and sprinted across the forests almost falling on my face over the tree roots sticking up from the dirt.

I stopped at the bank of the river watching the shivering small figure standing waist deep in the raging rabids but not moving one inch "Sammy!" I yelled running into the water grabbing hold of his shoulder, his head snapped around to face me his eyes were a sickly red and orange glowing at me menacingly.

"Charlie is okay. He's alive!" I gulped taking his face in my hands kissing his cold face reaching for the syringe filled with muscle relaxant Claude had given me

"Stop lying to me!" He snarled shoving me back onto the bank storming out of the current picking me up by the throat crushing painfully against my neck

"I'm sorry Sammy" I jabbed the needle into his neck and he dropped me immediately.

He swayed dangerously before collapsing down into my arms, I hoisted him up into my arms and ran after William who had already started heading for the hospital. William led me right into the hospice ward of the hospital, he gently knocked on the door before cracking it open. Surely enough Charlie was laying there looking wasted and worse for wear but very much alive.

"I told you not to hurt him" He mumbled annoyedly as I sat Sammy down in one of the chairs

"It's muscle relaxant, he'll be awake shortly" I took another syringe from William and jabbed it into his neck injecting the fluid into it. Sammy's eyes cracked open and blinked tiredly

"What's going on here." He seethed grinding his teeth together but stopping when he saw Charlie.

"Sammy, Hey I told you to be strong remember?" He smiled sadly and Sammy stared at him blankly for a minute before he broke down into pitiful sobs throwing his arms around Charlie's his loud whimpers were as heartbreaking as seeing a child cry for their mother

"It's okay Sammy. I'm okay now" He smiled stroking his hair gently as he continued to cry into his shoulder

"How about we go home and get you some dry clothes" I offered to Sammy and he tore himself away from Charlie.

"Okay" He nodded weakly lacing his fingers into mine trailing behind me slowly "Did I do that to you?" He sniffed pointing to the redness around my neck

"If I lie will it make you feel better?" I wrapped an arm around his shoulder as more tears pooled in his eyes "It doesn't hurt Sammy promise" I smiled resting my chin on top of his head.

"Can I get up yet?" I grumbled fidgetting around again growing agitated of laying around

"No. You can not. You can stay and eat something though" William set a plate of food down on the nightstand
