Excitement courses through me as I prepare for the screen test with Prince. Wheaton really came through for me by setting up this opportunity. I've been hoping for a chance like this to showcase my acting skills, and now it's finally here. Prince's emergency casting for his movie "Purple Rain" couldn't have come at a better time.

Vanity's departure from the project opened the door for me to audition for the leading lady role opposite Prince. It's a significant part, and I'm determined to give it my all. Despite the partial nudity requirement, I'm willing to make an exception for this role given its potential to elevate my career.

"Are you nervous?" He asks with a smirk before we start the dialogue.

I'm not gonna lie, he is very attractive. Caramel skin, hazel eyes, and full lips. I can see why women flock to him. Not me though. Never gonna be a notch in someone's bedpost.

"Maybe a little. I'm used to performing in front of people, but I've never done a movie before," I say truthfully.

He snickers while looking everywhere but at me. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll do fine."

"Okay, you two, are you ready for the screen test?" Steven Fargnoli, one of Prince's managers, asks.

I look back at him and nod. "Yeah, I'm ready."

"Okay, you can start whenever you're ready, Ivy," he tells me as everyone gets in place.

I turn my back on Prince and take a deep breath before getting into character. Nodding to start, I keep my back to him. After a moment, he starts his dialogue.

"Give me that," he says from over my shoulder.

I jump and turn back to face him in surprise. Hopefully, it wasn't too fake-looking.

"That, on your boot," he says, gesturing to my left boot.

I look down and hand him a fistful of nothing. He mimed putting it in his pocket before turning around.

After a moment, I speak. "Hey, wait!" I'm supposed to chase him, but again, it's only a screen test. "Give that back to me!"

He looks back at me with a smirk and then focuses ahead. I pull the sleeve of his jacket, and he turns around completely.

"You can have it back later," he says, smirking again.

I fold my arms and do my best Latoya Jackson impression. "I want it back now, okay?"

"Who gave it to you?" he asks with raised brows.

Now, if this was real life, I would have said, "none of your business." But Apollonia is an entirely different girl. "Huh?"
