This Means War! (Finnick Odair Love Story)

Chapter five

Annie stands there lurking around the door. "Um hi" I speak uneasily. Annie steps closer to my face and gives a weird type of growl. She grabs a tight grip of the collar of my dress and gives a smrik.

"Listen, I don't know who you think you are but you better back off,  you messed with the wrong couple" Annie snarls at me. I feel like I'm about to fall over, just having constent flash backs of my dream. She breaks loose from my dress and stomps off and shouts, "You've been warned!" over her shoulder. I walk inside my bedroom when a sick pain comes from my stomach. Ahh the pain hurts to much to bare, I place my hand on my stomach and land on my knees. A weird sensation comes from my stomach and to my throat. I bow my head and reach for a nearby trash can, I puke my guts out and fall over. I see the room start to spin when I hear Finnicks voice,

"Help! Someone get the nurse!" Finnick lifts my body and I close my eyes barrying my face in his shirt, not even carrying about the puke I rub on him. I slowly fade away into darkness and all of the surrounding sounds disappear with the light. When I awake I'm in a small white room, I swarm my head around to see Finnicks smile shinning down on me. "Good morning sunshine!" Finnick leans close to my face and places his lips on my fore head. "Looks like another surprise is for you" Finnick winks and I just look at him with a confused face.

"Why do I feel like crap?" I moan

"Well sweetheart um looks like we're gonna have a baby!" Finnick smiles bigger than ever. I'm pregnant! oh no Annie! She will hurt my baby!

"Finnick you don't understand we have to talk!"

"What's wrong?" Finnick looks at me with worry.

"Its-" Just then, Annie walks in, I open and close my eyes hoping this is all just a dream, but no this is very real. Annie plays an act like shes all sweet around Finnick. "Why is she here?"

" I invited her,  maybe now she'll understand I have moved on" Finnick whispers towards me. I need to talk to him, he doesn't understand, with her our baby's at risk. The nurse walks in,

"Well Ms.Amanda you are good to go, just make sure you get plenty of rest and try to be careful, don't hold heavy things and don't lay on your belly. Other than that your good to go, try to check in with us every week to check on progression." She leaves the room and having Annie here makes me uncomfortable, especially now that she has an advantage because I'm weak. Atleast I still have Finnick by my side to protect me.

"Well lets go then" I nod towards Finnick trying to get rid of Annie as quick as possible. Finnick helps lift me out of the hospital bed.

"Can I help?" Annie smirks in an innocent voice.

"Awe how sweet, why y-"

"No!" I interput Finnick. Finnick looks at me with wide eyes like I caught him bye surprise.

"Um maybe you should visit later" he tells Annie in a hushed tone.

"Of course" she slowly walks out the door and Finnick helps me to our room. Once Finnick gets me on the bed he closes and locks the door. He looks at me and sits by me on the bed.

"What was that about, I thought we were good"

"Finnick I tried to tell you, she threatened me to back off form you when I left from lunch. I'm afraid she will hurt our baby Finnick!" tears fill my eyes and I lean on his shoulder.

"I know Annie, she woul-"

"KNEW, Annie Finnick! You knew her! Snap out of it" I tear up.

"Your right, I'm gonna talk to Haymitch and tell him shes not ready to be released from treatment" Finnick smiles. I smirk with satisfaction hoping that my baby will be safer now.
