The easiest way to live is to live according to God’s plan for you. God knows you, He knows your name, and He knows why He created you, which means He has got a plan to help you fulfil that purpose. Often, we get confused and frustrated in life because we do not know what path to take, what to do and how to do it. We have great ideas but we do not know how to go about them. Open your mind and let the Holy Spirit lead you and be ready to do as He says. After Moses died, Joshua was to be the new leader of the children of Israel. Joshua 1:1&2; KJV “Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister saying, Moses my servant is dead: now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.”
From the time that Joshua was appointed leader over Israel, the Lord always gave Joshua specific instructions to follow which led them to conquering several nations as their inheritance. It is clear that the Lord had everything planned out, all He needed were men to heed His word. When we follow the plan of the Lord all that we seek will come to us easily without a struggle- Joshua 24:13; KJV- “And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and olive yards which ye planted not do ye eat.” The little we do becomes plenty when we follow God’s plan.
Sometimes we might not fully understand God’s plans which makes us vulnerable to mistakes because impatience and fear of failing can pull us from the path God has placed us. In those times, when you feel you God is not speaking and you feel afraid to make any decisions, don’t cry and panic rather stay in His presence, pray, search scriptures, meditate and wait patiently. Do not try to use your wisdom, learn to rely totally on God – Proverbs 3:5-7a; KJV – “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes:”
Fear is another thing that can hinder us from following God’s plan for us. After God has revealed to you specific things He wants to do for you and through you; you begin to fear that these things might not come through, and it takes away your will to do your own part; but you should know that God does whatever it is that He says. Joshua 21:44&45; KJV – “And the Lord gave them rest round about, according to all that He sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand. There failed not aught of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.” Hold on, God is with you.
Remain Blessed.
