Two Sides of the Same Coin

During another busy noon on Arcis, the ringing of the school bell marked the lunch break of the Hailside High school, causing the hallways and corridors to turn into an uproar as the sudden torrent of hungry students come rushing down to the canteen.

Meanwhile, on the room 2-1 a guy with a black and spiky hair stood up his chair on the bottom most row in the middle, making a sound, and slapped the nape of the red-haired shaggy guy sleeping on the front seat on the rightmost row of the room, near the front door.

The sleeping guy woke up momentarily and stared at the one that woke him up and said in a weak voice, "Leave me alone, Aiden." while getting back to sleep again.

Annoyed, Aiden made another attempt on waking him up, and slapped him again and shouted, "It's already lunch so get the hell up, Xion!"

Xion's head banged against the chair's desk, making a dull sound. Then he immediately lifted his head and proceeded to rub his forehead, with his eyes obviously sleepy.

"Tch..."  Xion said while standing up and stared at Aiden annoyingly. His eyes eventually became blank and hazy as he stares at Aiden. "Let's go." Aiden invited Xion to go out the classroom and walked straight to the door. Xion followed suit.

As the two left the classroom, they saw a male student having a conversation with the student council president just outside their classroom. He has spiky hair and is wearing glasses, while the student council president is a female with blonde and wavy waist-length hair, along with a pair of rectangle-framed glasses.

"...and that's that. Remember to finish the paperworks, Ven." Those are the last words Aiden and Xion heard, as the student council president turned and left, walking through the student-filled hallway.

"Fine, Ms. Alex." Ven said mockingly while turning to Aiden and Xion. "Hey." He greeted the two casually waiting just beside the classroom's front door.

"You have too much bitches, Ven." Aiden said while smirking, shoving Ven's back playfully.

"What the hell. We're just discussing the upcoming school projects. Don't be jealous." Ven said while making a mocking smile.

"Shut up. Took you too long, I'm dead hungry. Let's eat at the rooftop!" Aiden said, while dragging the Ven and Xion with him to the stairs by the sleeve, while the two is unwilling to go.

"Wait! Damn.. it! We...." Ven stuttered while he struggles to match Aiden's pace. Aiden dashed through the hallways and ran up the stairs, catching every students' attention along the way, ignoring the fact that Ven and Xion is chasing behind him.

As they reached the last flight of stairs, they opened the metal door to enter the rooftop. As they opened the door, the bright light of the sun shone at their faces. Potted plants are displayed along the sides of the floor of the rooftop, and a cage is formed so that students are safe from falling. Some pieces of the gray-colored tiles are coming off the floor, and hints of dust can be seen scattered around. A breathtaking view of the city can be viewed from this rooftop. Buildings and skyscrapers can be seen tearing the sky in every direction while the streets are bustling with people, seemingly cluttered on the sidewalks. Truly, one can observe Arcis's true nature from this rooftop, as a busy and never-resting city.

The three stepped outside and stood beside the door, chasing for their breaths.

"That was far too tiring, you idiot." Xion said so casually, while ducking and resting his hands on his knees, gasping for air.
