"So this is goodbye then?" Luke breathed into his phone, leaning against the wall of the main hall.
"Yeah... I guess" I half-whispered back.
"I hope you'll miss me as much as I already miss you babe" The boy responded, his voice cracking into a slow smile.
"Alright, alright I know your dumb friends have heard enough of this sappy stuff, we've been on the phone for an hour and a half now, dork" I giggled and hung up, sliding down the same wall as the dweeb.
"You're the best Dase, I swear if my friends thought I'd gone another summer without so much as kissing someone they would take the piss so bad an-"
"Lucas. We've already gone over this so many times, it's no biggie I'd do it for any vaguely-talented-but-not-cocky guy my age, even if he is an idiot like you" I said in a sing-song voice and finished with a brace-clad smile.
A car pulled up to the curb and honked and called for me to hurry up and get in or else I'd be left here.
"Bye my lil summer-dase" Luke grabbed me into a squishy hug and sloppily kissed me on the cheek.
"Wait let me get a picture of you so I can say I knew "The Great Lucas" before he was famous and made all the girls wet themselves by his precense alone" I laughed, brushing the kiss of off my cheek, sure Luke was cute but that doesn't mean he could slobber all over me.
