You were woken up by your alarm. You had set it thinking you had school but then remembered the past incidents that officially closed your school. It's been closed for a while but you keep forgetting since your not allowed to watch TV or browse the Internet, you never know wether something your parents tell you is true or not.
They said you had a panic attack and passed out and that's why you survived. That's why your brains weren't blown out. That's why you're still here. Your parents constantly tell you to be grateful. But grateful for what? You wanted to die. You wanted to paint the walls along with your classmates. Not because you were sad that you lost your friends, why would you be sad? They were never your friends. They deserved it. But you wanted it. You prayed for it. God kept you here for a reason. But where will you find your purpose?
Suddenly your parents burst into your room, interupting your deep thoughts.
'They always do this...' you mumbled under your breath, making sure they didn't hear you.
Sadly they weren't as caring as you. When they talk, they don't bother to keep quiet.
Flashback_
They've been arguing for a few weeks now. You're not sure what about, but there was one line your mother would always repeat.
'We can't run away from our problems!' She'd scream in a shaky voice.
~ she's probably crying. She was always weak~ you thought. You'd listen a while longer, but eventually get bored and fall asleep. It was nothing new so it didn't bother you.
End of flashback_
'What do you want?' You ask in a less than polite tone.
'You need to pack.' Your mum says with a smile as she wheels in a black suitcase.
'Pack for what?!' You yell, surprised at your parents sudden command.
'We're going to visit some family in Korea for a while.'
'But what about school? I enroll next week!'
'We already sorted your scholarship out and you'll be going to the same school as your cousin jiyoung.'
'Cousin? Jiyoung? What's going on? I've never had a cousin named jiyoung and I never knew we had family in Korea. Plus I never agreed to this!'
'People died at your school y/n! And everyone in the city knows that you're the miracle child! The one who didn't die! Do you think that the killer might not come back for you thinking you had some evidence of who they are?!' My father interuppted I and my mother's bickering.
'Well...'
'Exactly. No answer. Because you don't know. None of us do so it's best to take precautions. Now start packing.' He explained, then walked out of the room.
My mother and I looked at each other in shock then began sorting clothes and packing my bag.
Although it's warm here, it's ment to be winter in Korea and when it's cold, it's really cold, and they tend to get snow. So I packed all my winter clothes. Luckily the school I'm going to doesn't permit students to wear uniforms so I can wear whatever I want. Unless it's a uniform day. I know weird right? It's like they are the opposite, or even another world.
Once we had finished packing I took a quick shower and got dressed into some jogging bottoms and a hoodie. I ran down stairs to get my breakfast but was met with the glaring eyes of my parents.
'Why are you not ready to leave?' My dad asked.
'What? We're going today?' I ask still angry at the fact that my parents once again didn't explain properly.
