Dr who one shots

Speaking freely.

Authors note: hello again! This is the first part of a bunch of unrelated one shots. Hope you enjoy and tell me what you think!

Clara awoke to a face hovering above hers.
"What the hell are you doing?!?" She shouted at her friend the Doctor.
"Ah good, your awake!"
"You didn't answer my question."
He had the habit of not answering questions directly.
What he was really doing he couldn't ever say. He was watching his beautiful companion sleep so peacefully.
"Waiting for you to wake up" Is what it ended up being, 'it's not a lie' he thought.
"You could have waited outside you know."
"Whatever. Anyway I want to take you somewhere special today."
"Ok just get out for a minute I need to get dressed."

He left the room without a question.
She put on a blue floral sundress and her leather jacket. She left the room and went to go brush her hair.
After all that was said and done she wandered her small flat looking for the time lord.
"Doctor! Where are you?"
No reply.
"Doctor?!"
Still no reply. And then at the top of her lungs she screamed "THERE'S A DALEK IN THE KITCHEN!"
She heard quick footsteps and then a loud crash.
"What! Where's the dalek?"
Clara just burst out laughing and through giggles she managed to get out "There was no dalek I just needed to get you attention ya big moron."
They doctor shot Clara a half glare.
"Well now that your ready let's go!"

They went out the front door and walked towards the big police box that the doctor uses to travel around time and space.
*flashback*
Clara walked into the Tardis with the Doctor for the first time. She was confused about how it was bigger on the inside. "Wait how does this work?" Clara being smarter than the average human figured it out before the doctor had a chance to say anything. Cutting the doctor off she said "So it's like another dimension in the box?"
"That's exactly what it is." Mumbled the doctor. But she still couldn't belive it.
*end of flashback*
"Are you just gonna stand there?" Asked the doctor smiling.
"No..."
"Well then shut the door and move somewhere."
She shut the door and asked enthusiastically "where are we going today?"
"Can't tell you. It's a surprise." He said as his usual smirk appears on his face.
He planned to take her to a country side in Germany. He had previously set up a picnic for them there before comming to get her. He planned to eat food, read a book and as the sunset they could watch it together.
"Ok. Let's go!"
Running around the console room the doctor was flicking switches and pressing buttons. 'He really is a madman with a box.' Clara thought to herself. She had begun to like him more though, but she hasn't had the right moment to tell him. She was hopping to tell him soon before something happend. Because something always comes up and he is gone for months at a time.
Thud. They had landed. When she stepped out of the Tardis she found herself looking at a beautiful countryside. Not a clue if they were even on earth anymore because it was so beautiful. But the next thing that she saw made her gasp. It was a perfectly set picnic blanket under a beautiful oak tree, it had and candles of all sorts of different colors and her favourite book set off into the corner of it. Which so happend to be Harry Potter and the half blood prince.
"Do you like it?" Asked the doctor hopefully.
"It's beautiful."
"Well it's time to eat some food."
"Good because you picked me up before I had time for any breakfast."
They walked over to the blanket and Clara sat down and leaned against the tree. The doctor sat down next to the picnic basket. He pulled out a bowl of custard and another bowl of fish fingers for him. And for Clara he brought a few peanut butter and jam sandwiches.
"I know it's not amazing.." He was cut off by Clara saying
"It's perfect."

They ate and talked about future and past adventures. They finished there food and then the doctor reached over and grabbed the book.
" I was hoping we could do some reading."
"That's fine with me." Clara said smiling. He opened the book to the first page and they read until about the 4th chapter. They took turns and they did all the character's voices too.
It was nearly sundown so the doctor tucked away the book, stood up and said to Clara nervously "Clara I have something to say and I've been meaning to say it for a long time."
Clara stood up too.
"Good because I need to say something too."
"You can go first if you want."
" No you brought it up so you can go first."
Butterflies where flying around inside both of there stomachs. " So Clara we have been traveling together for quite sometime. I am over 1000 years old and I haven't felt this way in a long time about someone. But just know that I am in love with you Clara."
He looked into Clara's eyes and slowly she whispered in his ear, "I am in love with you too." He put his arms around her and just stayed like that for what could have been hours. Clara stepped away for a moment breaking the embrace. "What are the odds of this?" Asked Clara quietly.
"Actually the odds..." He was cut off for the second time that night except this time it was by Clara's lips against his. She wrapped her arms around his neck and didn't let go. Eventually they had to break for air. They both sat back down on the blanket. The doctor was leaning against the oak tree as Clara had been doing previously and Clara was leaning against the doctor. It was long past sundown and there were stars out everywhere. Clara got up again for a moment to blow out all the candles but 1 Tardis blue one. She sat back down with the doctor. He wrapped his arms around her and eventually Clara fell asleep listening to his hearts beating.
*a few hours later* Clara awoke back in her room. 'This must have been one wicked dream' she thought but as her eyes slowly adjusted to the light she saw the doctor on the ground sleeping there. He looked so peaceful. She looked over at her digital clock on her nightstand. It read 3:09 am, 'might as well go back to sleep.' She thought.
2 hours later. This time the doctor awoke to screaming. He looked around and realized that it was comming from Clara. 'Nightmares'
He thought. He got up from where he was previously laying down and sat beside clara. He gave Clara a little nudge so that she woke up for a moment, she had tears in her eyes. "You were having a nightmare." He moved so that he could put his arms around her. "But don't worry its over now, I'm here."
"Doctor, will you stay here. With me tonight?"
"Of course Clara." They both lied down, the doctor arms stayed around Clara. They both relaxed into the embrace and fell asleep minutes later.

Several weeks later.

The doctor and Clara were always out adventuring the universe until one day the doctor asked an important question. They were both on the Tardis, just floating in outer space. Then the doctor doctor broke the silence by saying. "Can I ask you something Clara?"
"Ask away" There was a brief silence.
"Will you live with me on the Tardis?"
Clara went quiet but her mind was screaming 'YES, SAY YES'
"Doctor I don't know what to say."
"How about yes?"
"Well then yes it is. But can we go back to my flat to pick up my stuff?"
"Of course."
They doctor flew the Tardis back to Clara's flat and they spent a few hours packing up Clara's stuff. Surprisingly she didn't have that much stuff. After the last box was packed they brought all the stuff into the Tardis. He gave Clara a room although he knew she would never sleep in there. She unpacked her few boxes of stuff and then walked back up into the console room. The doctor was sitting up in one of his chairs. Looking right about as happy as could be. Clara walked up behind him and hugged him from behind with a kiss on the cheek.
"All unpacked I take it?" He asked.
"Yes." She said in reply.
After a while they remodeled bits of the Tardis so that it was more like a house.  Eventually he brought her back to that countryside in Germany and he got down on one knee.
