A new Pokémon adventure

Chapter 3

When I walk inside my house, I look into the kitchen to see my mother there. She looks over and sees me smiling. "I take it that you got your two Pokémon to start your journey?" She asks. I walk around, sit on the stool then in front of the kitchen window and say, "Not exactly. I picked Charmander,   but can't decide on what other one I want." She looks at me , then starts back up on cutting the vegetables and without looking up, she says, "We'll go pack and hopefully you figure it out."

I get up from the stool and head up the stairs. I turn and head to my dresser. I take out the clothes I need for my journey, then a thought came into my head. I should introduce myself to my Pokémon. I look down at the pokeball and take it into my hand. I press the white button and it grows bigger in my hand. I throw the pokeball in the air and say, "Come on out, Charmander." The ball opens and a white beam appears taking the form of the orange lizard.

Charmander opens his eyes and looks around. "Charr?" It says, tilting its head in confusion. I kneel down and pet the Pokémon. When I do, it grins and says, "Char..Charmander!" I couldn't help, but smile. Charmander is just so cute. I look at him some more, then remembered that I need to introduce myself. "Charmander, my name is James and I'm your trainer. I can't wait to start my journey with you and all the Pokémon of the world!" I say.

Charmander looks at me and a grin spreads across his face. "Char char," he says. I get up and continue to pack. When I'm done, I go back downstairs with an idea of what other starter I want. I head to the kitchen and mom hands me a brown paper sack, saying, "This is when you get hungry. I hope you meet a whole bunch of friends along the way. Also, did you figure out which other one you want?" I take the sack and put it in the other pocket in my bag."I think I have an idea."

I walk outside and head back to the professors lab.On my way there, I see Rebecca. She glares at me. She walks up to me and shoves me. "Who do you think you are?" she says. I get up and brush the dirt off of me, giving her a look. "I'm James. I just moved here from a different region and wanted to start a journey here." As she's about to shove me again, I dodge it and start to run towards the professor.

I walk in heavily breathing. I walk up to the professor. He turns and sees me, "Ah, James. Great to see you again. Did you figure out which other one you want?" I nod my head and reach for my second starter. When I pick it up, the professor says. "So, Piplup, huh?" I nodded. "Yeah,  I was thinking it through. And I thought about which other one would make a great addition to my team."

I look at him and he just smiles, then a look comes onto his face like he has forgotten something. "What is it,Professor?" I ask. He looks over at his desk. He walks over to his desk and starts wiping away papers, then he screams out, "Aha!!" I jump in surprise  as he yelled. He walks over to me handing me five pokeballs and a red watch.

"The red watch you have there is the newest pokedex." He says. I look up in shock. I couldn't help, but smile. "Thanks professor." He smiles and waves me off. I step outside and head to route one to start my journey, waiting to see what happens.
