Finally, the waiter came back. Nina let go of Ethan's hands, and pulled her own away.
Nina and Ethan both ordered, and the waiter left again. The pair sat in silence for a moment, both just staring out of the large window beside them. They watched as cars and people went by. Nina even pointed out a small dog that trotted by at it's owners side.
The waiter came back, and set two large plates down on the table. Everything looked so good, and Ethan and Nina both started eating before the waiter could say, "enjoy", and walk away.
They ate without much discussion, and Ethan was the first to finish. He gently set his utensils down and wiped his mouth with his napkin. Nina also finished, and they decided not to order dessert. Ethan slurped the last of his drink as he waited for the waiter to come back with the bill.
After a small objection from Nina, Ethan finally paid. The pair got up from their seats and left the restaurant.
Ethan and Nina put their helmets on, and climbed onto the back of Ethan's motorcycle. He ended up driving her home, not really wanting to go back to the bar.
Ethan pulled up out front of Nina's building, and shut his engine off. He got off the bike to walk Nina up the front steps.
"Thank you for tonight. I've realized that I don't need alcohol to talk to you." Nina grinned.
Ethan chuckled loudly. "That makes me feel great." He replied.
"Maybe I'll see you tomorrow?" Nina asked.
"Maybe you will." Ethan shrugged his shoulder dramatically as Nina smiled. She leaned over to kiss his cheek, before going inside her building.
"Goodnight, Ethan." She said, holding the front glass door open.
"Goodnight, Nina." Ethan replied. Nina let the front door shut and Ethan walked back to his bike. He got on, and drove home.
