Hannah stood up off the couch and stood in front of the tv. Everyone groaned and tried to look around her. "We are going to get food. But I need to go get my car. Then it's off to Wal-mart." At the word 'Wal-mart' everyone looked at her as if she was crazy. "Hannah, I don't think that's a good idea...." Started Andy, looking at the rest of his buddies with very worried eyes. Jake, Jinxx, Ashley and CC jumped up and dragged Hannah and Andy out the door and back to the high school where her car sat alone.
It was 1976 Chevy Impala. The boys whistled and looked the car over. "How did you end up with this beauty?" asked Ashley. "My dad left it for me." Hannah answered in a small voice.
Andy noticed how sad she got when she thought about the car. He watched her place a smile on her face and say "Get in, I'm starving." Everyone got in and it was a squeeze. Hannah drove while being squished in with Andy beside her in the middle and Ashley on the other side and Jake, CC and Jinxx got in the back.
"You know Hannah you're going to regret taking them to Wal-mart" whispered Andy as they drove. Hannah gave him a puzzled look. "Trust me on this."
They pulled in to the parking lot and went inside. Hannah and Andy grabbed a shopping cart and watched nervously as they scattered across the store.
Now imagine dear reader you're in a quite Wal-mart minding your own business when a bunch of 18 year old children dressed in black start causing chaos. That wal-mart didn't know what hit them.
"Told you" said Andy as they watched them run around the store. "Well you're not going anywhere." Hannah replied starting down the produce aisle.
As they shopped they talked about a little bit of everything to nothing. They could hear the boys as they went around the store. Soon they heard that they started a game of Marco Polo. Even know and then all you could hear was Jinxx yelling "MARCO" and three cries of "POLO" afterwards. They turned down the dairy aisle saw Jake just lying on the floor. Hannah was seriously worried for all of their mental health. She looked up and Andy but he looked like this was normal.
They finished up and Andy and Hannah went to pay for their groceries. When Hannah went to pay Andy asked, "How did you manage to afford all of this?" Hannah looked up at him and sighed. "My Dad. Before he died he had set up a trust fund way before he met my mom. So when he died he left it for me but he never told my mom. He knew she could be a little violent so he wanted to make sure I had a place to go." As she told him the story sadness filled her eyes and Andy's heart broke. He wanted to find out how her Dad died and asked what she meant by "a little violent" but he knew well enough that she would tell him when the time is right.
They walked out to Hannah's car and put the bags in the trunk and headed back inside.
"Now all we have to do find the rest of the guys" said a tired and worried Hannah. Andy smirked. "This is going to be fun. I warn you: expect the unexpected." Hannah just nodded slowly, wonder what he could possibly mean.
They strolled down the toy section and found Jake and Jinxx fighting each other with foam swords. Hannah put her hands on her hips and cleared her throat. They both turned and saw that Hannah was giving them that stern mother look. They both blushed and put the swords down. Andy raised an eyebrow. "How did you do that?" he asked in awe. "Motherly instinct" Hannah beamed back at him. He chuckled as they continued walk through the aisles looking for Ashley and CC with Jinxx and Jake trailing behind them.
They wondered all through the store but they couldn't find Ashley and CC. "Where could they be?" Hannah asked. "There is one place that we didn't look." Andy said leading them to the women's department. Hannah sighed. 'Of course they would be in this part of the store' she said to no one.
