Chapter 1: The Date!

"Fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 

Damn, that scared the fuck out of me. 

Who the hell was screaming like a mad wolf at the top of the building while I was trying to peacefully have my cigarette?! I continued to light up my cigarette and took a puff. 

"So, it was you who was screaming while I was trying to have a smoke," I said to the gradually emerging white figure. I could sense that he was disappointed and angry as though it was written all over his face.

"I'm sorry, P'. I thought no one was here." The white figure's voice was somehow sultry attractive to my ears. 

"It's okay. What's your name?"

"Ermm, my name is Wayo Panitchayasawad, P'." 

"Hmmm, okay, go and do whatever you need to and get inside back when you better." I tried to console him.

From that day onwards, the name Wayo never left my heart and my thoughts. Although I wasn't really sure of my feelings, I could sense that he is my special someone. 

My name is Jatuphoom but I am more commonly known by my nickname, Forth. I am more famously known as the Engineering Sophomore who won 1st runner-up in the Campus Moon competition who had ear piercings, clean-cut hairstyle, and scary-looking. 

I walked down the corridor and headed straight for my condo's door. It has been a tiring day at the university but the time today seems to pass by very quickly. It's 5:30 PM and I have a hot-pot date with Wayo and Ming at 8:30 PM. Perhaps that's why the time seems so fast today. 

I took off my engineering jacket and left it aside on my study table. Grabbing the pillow by the sofa, I sat and snuggled comfortably. All I could think is the hot-pot date that's tonight, with Wayo. With Ming too, of course. I can't help it but to just visualise Wayo in my mind. He looks so fucking cute with that baby skin of his. His height made him even cuter. He's a little weird with his mannerisms but he looks like someone who hasn't been truly loved by someone he loves.

"Shit!" I opened my eyes to know that it was already 8:00 PM. Fuck, I need to stop being late, especially for this date!! I changed my outfit and stood in front of the mirror. Tilting my head to see that every angle of mine looks fine, I need to look good for Wayo!! Without much hesitation, I took my bike's keys, wallet, and phone, and left the condo. 

"P'! Over here!!" The familiar voice echoed through my ears. It was Ming, Wayo's best friend. Sometimes, I question if they are really "best friends" or something else. They look too close, I'm a little jealous.

Standing at the front of the hot pot restaurant was Ming and Wayo. Wayo looks sad as usual but his cuteness is still there. I approached them and led them to the restaurant. The restaurant was stifling with tons of customers but we got ourselves a seat each. 

"Ming. What's the matter with your friend?" I questioned Ming while subtly looking at Wayo. 

"His heart is just broken, P." Well, upon hearing that, I could feel my heart breaking apart too but I kept it to myself.

"Why's that?"

"The male dog at home cheats him with another female dog." Wayo looks at Ming with a death stare that made him look like he can pound on Ming any moments from now. Well, this date isn't going to get any better, will it? My unsure tiny hope keeps getting suppressed as time passes by. 

"Asshole" Wayo snapped to Ming's comment.

"Keep eating, Ai Yo. Life sucks... Keeps eating." I tried to console the poor baby who is upset. I took some vegetable from the pot and place it on Wayo's plate. He looks unchanged and I felt a little worried.

"P'Forth. Do you know P'Pha's girlfriend?" Ming shoots the question out of the blue.

"Pha's girlfriend?" I was puzzled by that strange but familiar question. 

"Yes. The pretty lady today at the studio."

"Oh... You mean Pring?"

"Yes,"

"Why? Do you like her?" I casually joked with Ming.

Ming shakes his head "How can I beat the guy that she's with today? Can't you see?"

"She also can't beat the others too," I said while munching on a piece of pork.

"What do you mean, P'?"

"Pring likes Pha... Just like everyone else, but Pha has never been involved with anyone since he's here in the university." 

"Or do you like Ai Pha, Ming?" I joked with him again. 

"Fuck NO!!!!"

"Boys Loves kind of thing"

"NO NO NO!!! I rather go with Ai Yo than him." Ming teased Wayo by giving him a hug. Well, Ming, you better put your hands away from Wayo soon!!

"Have you asked me first?" Wayo snarled at Ming. He's too cute!!

"Hahaha. Look at Yo's face. See? You are so cute when you smile. Try to smile more. It's better than isolating and screaming to the pool alone." I don't know what's wrong with me but those honest words just slipped through my tongue.

"Do you think Yo is cute?" Ming's sudden question got me silent.

"What?!?! He's right here in front of me. How can I answer that?" I tried to maintain my composure.

"Just pretend that he's not here"

"Well... He's not bad..." I took a sip of my beer, "... But not enough for the Campus Moon this year." I tried to make it less obvious that I feel something for Wayo. 

"Hey... Ai P'Forth" Wayo teased me back.

"Seriously... You are too cute than handsome. Think about it. When you are standing right next to Pha. It's totally different style. Ming, The moon from engineering school, or this year Campus Moon. The winner this year." I blew my own faculty's trumpet. 

"What if I'm the Campus moon?" Wayo asked me while showing me that cute face of his.

"No way... Stop the day dreaming."

"Let's say if I win?" 

"Ah... the bet is on."

"Getting ready to lost some money, P'Forth" Wayo smirked so handsomely. I felt like my heart skipped a beat now. 

You look much livelier now, Yo." I remarked.

"Maybe that old dog is coming back home to its old wife." Ming smiles and continued to tease his poor best friend.

"Put that into your novel, would you?" Wayo snapped.

"Just saying"

"Smart ass"

Ming whispered something to Wayo. Both of them are definitely up to something. Wayo never looked so blushed before. There's definitely a reason to his sudden change of mood. I hope it is me but a part of me believes that Wayo likes Pha. That thought haunted and troubled me throughout the entire meal but I tried bottled it all up. 

Does Wayo really like Pha? My tiny heart tried to maintain the very least of hope but it failed.
