We finally reached a safe place. It looked to be a small ghost town. It only had 8 houses, a farm, a store, and a church. It was almost morning, and everyone already had already chosen what house they wanted. I was left with the house by the church. I walked up to the church it had wonderful paintings inside and the pews where made out of the finest dark wood I walked up to a set of stairs and I decided to go up them. Once I was up the stairs I found myself in a beautiful choir loft and I felt at peace. They would never let us sing at the camp, and that was one of my favorite things. I sat down at the piano. I started to press the keys never expecting it to work, but it did. I heard some coming up the stairs, but I knew it was most likely a friend. I was right it was Raven.
" I thought you where going to get some sleep?" I asked
"Was but I needed to ask you something".
"Ok, ask away".
"How?" Was all she asked.
"How what?"
"How did you know about people being out here, how did you know there where people after us, I mean we would not be a consern to the camp. They would not care if we died and so what if they lost a couple people there are hundreds more." She paused" so how and who".
" You are the only one to ask me and you are the youngest in our group." I said
"Hey I am 16, and only 2 years younger than you. I want to know."
"Not yet. I would love to tell you, but I can't, not now. Go get some sleep ok."
She nodded and left.

I get up and go down the stairs. I sit in one of the pews and I try to remember a time when life seemed normal. Then again what is normal, it it the perfect family with 2 kids, a dog and cat, going and doing stuff every weekend and school every other day. If so then I want no part of it. As I sat there in the church I pulled the only gift I ever was given by my family, a Bible and a little cross necklace. I stayed in the church for a couple more hours, then went to the store to see if there was anything useful. As I walked I was joined by Jess.
"Is this our new home?" He asked
" I think it is". I replied
