Surprise

Once again I don't wake up on my own, but I also don't wake up to a boy standing in the doorway. No, instead I wake up to the sound of music coming from downstairs. I rub my head as I feel a headache coming on. I love the boy's music don't get me wrong, it's just not a great way to be woken up. As I dig around in my sheets I find my phone, 10. Well never mind I can't be too angry. I groan and stand up. Before I head downstairs I make my bed. "Guys?" I glance in the kitchen, then the living room, the movie room, then the music room. Found them. "What's going on?"

Jack smiles and runs over to me, gently kissing my lips. "We have a surprise show happening tonight. We announce it at noon so we have to practice." As I look at the rest of the boys, Jonah, Corbyn, and Zach have a surprised look on their faces and they quickly look back and forth between us and Daniel.

"Sorry if we woke you." Daniel says as he plays the piano.

I shrug, "it's fine I shouldn't get used to sleeping in anyways."

"Uh Madi can I talk to you outside?" Jonah asks not even waiting for a response when he grabs my elbow, pulling me out. "Care to explain?"

"Jonah I'm sorry. I gave you a chance, I really did. But I just don't feel the same. We talked to Daniel last night. We told him we're dating." I look everywhere but his eyes, I don't want to see the hurt.

"Is that what your post was about last night?" I nod and I hear him sigh. "I'm happy for you guys." Wait what? I look up at him and he has a genuine smile. "I would have never had the balls to tell Daniel we were dating, you deserve a good guy."

I smile back at him, "you're not so bad of a guy yourself Jonah." We wrap our arms around each others waists and walk back into the room.

Immediately Corbyn comes over and hugs me, "congrats!"

"On what?" I look at him confused.

"For finally telling me about Jack." Daniel says still playing. "Even though I already knew."

Jack and I both snap our necks toward him. "Wait what?" I walk over and stand in front of the keyboard. "Since when?"

He sighs and stops playing. "The look on your face when you two first met. I've known you for 18 years Madi. I knew it'd happen eventually."

"Is that why you were calm about it?" Jack rocks on his heels.

"I guess. It also helps knowing that you guys promised me last night that you wouldn't make out."

My heart drops and my face turns red. Quickly I turn to Corbyn, "where's Christina?"

He frowns, "she left this morning. She could only stay for the award show."

"Oh. Well I'm gonna go shower." I quickly leave, not looking at Daniel. Once I'm upstairs I hop in the shower, taking my time. When I get out I wrap the towel around my body and peak out. Good the boys are still downstairs. Just in case though, I sprint into my room and lock the door behind me. I take the towel off and instead wrap it around my hair. I go through my clothes and land on an outfit, putting it on then looking in the mirror. This is a concert outfit right? I tilt my head over and take my hair out of the towel, but before I toss it into the hamper I run it through my hair a couple more times. After I'm done I stand back up and brush it out. I'll come back up later and curl it. I check the time, 11:58, then quickly run downstairs. I don't want to miss the announcement. Just as I make it to the music room they start the Instagram live and announce the show will be at 7. Alright I got some time. They answer a couple questions then get off, going straight back to work. I plop down on the couch they have in there and get on my phone, going straight to Jack's Instagram post.
