Harry's P.O.V.

It's been about a month since Devon White walked into my tattoo parlor. It's been a month since I went home truly happy. In this last month nothing has really happened, except I do know one that has happened. Devon hasn't come back since. Everyday since she came in, I've been hoping she'd come back the shop for another tattoo, or even just to say hi. But it hasn't happened. Luke has begun to be in the shop more frequently. He's actually quite helpful when he wants to be. Yet, everyday I still hope that at least one of the boys will call, or even send a text, but they haven't. My mum and I talk almost every other day now, even everyday sometimes. She says she plans on coming to visit me soon, but doesn't know when for sure. She says my sister, Gemma misses me as well. I hope everything is well with Gemma.

Since the day Devon came in, I've begun writing songs more and more, still thinking some of them are quite rubbish, but some of them are ok, actually quite good. I've begun to pick up on guitar again, deciding that my songs, even the good ones, wouldn't be nearly as good without music. They needed a little extra. I've begun singing them to myself occasionally to see if they would ever be something people might actually listen to if I were to ever put them out solo wise. It isn't terrible, I'll give myself that. I woke up one morning last week, and every tv station, news article, website, and social media app was talking about Niall. Apparently he's written a new song and released it. He's titled it,
'This Town'. I've given it a listen, and it's quite good, actually I listen to it quite often. I tweeted him my regards, told him how much I liked it and thought he was going places with it, but I still never got a reply back.

It was Tuesday afternoon, Luke and I were still in the shop, but I was headed out for lunch.
"Want anything Luke?", I ask, as I fiddle with my keys, walking past him towards the front door.
"Uh, yeah. Where you headed?", he asks, looking up at me from writing down the list of appointments that had came in so far today.
"That place on the corner of fifth", I say. He nods, looking back down at the paper then back up at me.
"Can you get me my usual?", He ask. I nod.
"Sure thing, Luke", I say, heading towards the door.
"Thanks, you're the best!", he calls after me. I chuckle and wave to him, shutting the door behind me.

Once outside, I pulled my jacket a bit tighter around me, buttoning it up as I noticed the sudden briskness of the cool air. Completely ridiculous for being the middle of spring. I sniffled as the cool air hit my nose, wondering if I should risk someone taking my parking spot. I decided I'd walk, and put the keys into my coat pocket. I walked down the street and away from the tattoo parlor, wondering why Niall hadn't responded to my tweets when he responded to Liam's earlier. Had he even seen it? Surely he had. He's always been one of the first people to see my tweets, or was before the break. Did I do something wrong? Why did none of the guys want to contact me? Didn't they miss me like I missed them? I was so completely involved in my thoughts I hadn't realized I was at the corner restaurant until I bumped right into someone.
"Oomf", The person said when I ran into them, knocking them on their bum.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!", I say, apologizing right away. I reach my hand out the help them up, they take it, standing up.
"I'm so sorry, I was completely lost in my thoughts and didn't know where I was going, and didn't even realize I was here and-", I ramble, but they cut me off.

"Hey, it's alright. We all make mistakes", The person says, laughing a little. Why did that laugh sound so familiar? Then I finally got a look at the person. Long hair, blue eyes.
"Devon?", I ask. The girl looks up at me.
"Hey! Harry!", she says, suddenly realizing who I am as well.
"Hey. Umm how are you?", I ask, trying to strike up a conversation. She laughs slightly, shaking her head before looking up at me.
"I'm good Harry. What about you? Any news from the boys?", She asks, knowing just what I need to talk about.
I sigh, shaking my head.
"Uh, no. No word from the boys. Niall just released a song, I tweeted him, but he didn't tweet me back. But he did Liam earlier", I say. She furrows her eyebrows.
"Don't get yourself down Harry, maybe he just didn't see it. Don't worry, they'll come around", Devon says, putting her hand on my shoulder, comfortingly.

"Anything good going on in your life?", I ask, trying to lighten up the mood.
"Umm, my brother and his wife just found out they're having a baby boy, so that's good news. I'll have a nephew in a couple months", She says, smiling up at me. I smile back.
"That's great! I absolutely love babies!", I say, kind of out there. I blush, realizing what I just said.
"That was, umm...", I say, trailing off. She laughs.
"It's ok, I love babies too. One thing we have in common", she says, smiling again. I smile, watching as her face lights up when she smiles.
"Listen, I gotta go. Luke's gonna flip if I don't come back with lunch soon. But hey, stop by the parlor sometime if you want another tattoo, or if you know, you just want to talk", I say, biting my lip, hoping she'd get the hint. Her smile grows wider.
"Well Harry, I might just do that", she says. I laugh.
"Alright, I'll see you around, Devon", I say. She keeps smiling.
"See you around, Harry", she says. I smile at her one last time before walking into the restaurant  and getting Luke and I's food before making the walk back to the tattoo shop.

I walk into the tattoo shop, the bell on the door ringing as I walk in. Luke comes out from the back, his arms going in the air as his eyes go wide.
"What took you so freaking long!?", Luke asks, leaning up against the counter.
"I uh, I ran into...Devon", I say. Luke looks at me immediately, his eyes widening as a smirk appears on his face.
"Oh tattoo girl, yeah?", He asks, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Shut up, Luke! Even if I wanted something to happen! It wouldn't. She's probably never coming back into this-", I say, as we both hear the bell from the door ring. We both look over, my eyes widening as I realize who's in the shop.
"...shop", I continue from my sentence. Luke nudges my shoulder.
"Cmon, go ask her out. You know you want to", He says. I sigh.
"Luke, I don't think I even could. I'm honestly such a shy person when it comes to gir-", I say, but Luke pushed me towards Devon before I could finish.

"Oomf", I say, this time it's my turn. She laughs.
"We need to stop meeting like this", she says, smiling. I realize how close we are, and back up a little bit. I look back over at Luke, who just gives me a thumbs up and the look to ask her out.
"So, umm. What brings you to the shop...again?", I say, laughing a bit.
"Well, I took it into consideration, and I decided I'd like to talk more", She says. I smile widely.
"Really? W-with me?", I ask, pointing to myself. She nods.
"Yes Harry, with you", She says, smiling.
"Well in that case, what if after I get off works would you maybe..um like to go out with me? I mean, if you want to, only if you want to", I say, immediately getting nervous.
"Harry, I'd love to. I'll text you my address", She says.
"You have my phone number, and I have yours from the paper. I'll text you say, around 6:30-ish?", she says.
"Yeah, that'll work. See you then", I say.
"See you then, Harry", She says, placing a kiss on my cheek before waving to Luke and walking out of the shop.

I turn around to Luke, my mouth slightly ajar. Luke jumps off of the chair and comes over to me, his hands going on my shoulders.
"You did it man! You've got a date for tonight!", Luke says. I smile.
"Yeah. Yeah! I have a date for tonight", I say, my smile getting wider.
