My Other Half

Chapter One

Yami Yugi was walking with Yugi Muto to the Kiba Corporation. They both dressed the same, their black tanks, leathered pants, collars, spiky belts, leather shoes, bracelets and Yami wore his puzzle around his neck. Their hair was all up like normal too.

  "To bad Joey couldn't join us today." Yugi mentioned as Yami nodded.

  "Yes, Joey can be pretty funny at times Yugi." Yami admitted as he smiled. Yugi nodded and they walked inside. They saw arcade games galore. Yugi stared in awe when he saw a statue of the Dark Magician. Yami thought that was cool too. But his gaze changed once he saw Seto Kiba walking down the hall. Passing children playing with video systems he made. According to the local and most popular newspaper and social media, Kiba is the most successful and the mastermind with video games. Yami watched Kiba walk with his brief case in hand as his long coat flew in the wind with his steps. Yami knew this was his opportunity to talk to Kiba about their recent duel that Yami won.

  "Kiba!" Yami ran after him as Yugi watched.

  "Yami wait!" Yugi went after him, knowing that going after Seto would be a big mistake. Mokuba went up to Kiba after helping a kid out with his game freezing.

  "Hey Seto. I got the money you requested." He said as Seto looked at the sack of money his little brother has.

  "Excellent Mokuba. Just give me the bag." Seto said as his little brother gave him the bag.

  "Kiba!" Seto knew who was calling him. He looked down and smirked.

"Yugi..." He turned to see Yami behind him. "Or should I say Yami." He said as Yami looked at Seto.

  "Kiba...I'm sorry about that match...I would like it if we could not be enemies over this like in the past."

  "I would have beaten you with my ultimate three blue eyes white dragon...but you summoned Exodia...how the hell did you do that..." Kiba asked as Yami looked at him.

  "I tell you all the time we battle...the heart of the cards." Yami said as Yugi finally caught up to them.

  "I don't care how you did it with some hocus pocus voodoo...there are no such thing as believing in the cards that you collect to be the ruler of the world." Kiba said as Mokuba noticed Seto acting up again. "No one cares about the heart of the cards, your grandpa is wrong. All that there is is power."

  "No there isn't Kiba!" Yami yelled as Yugi gasped as Mokuba's eyes widened. He looked up at his older brother as Seto smirked. "There isn't! You are just wrong!"

  "Like you would know..." Seto smirked back as he turned around.

  "I do know, I beat you twice in Duel Monsters..." Yami said as Seto turned around with an annoyed face. "I know what the heart of the cards is Kiba. You must not know...you always loose to me..." Yami said and smirked softly as Seto growled and got more angry.

  "Yami take that back now..." Seto threatened as Yami shook his head.

  "Why...what are you gonna do ? Threaten me with your company you so love and care about more then your friends and probably your own health." Yami said as Seto smirked.

  "Friends...who needs those..."

  "You do! You are so lonely and you have an empty soul!-" Yami then got punched by Seto as Seto couldn't believe he just punched someone in his own arcade place. He looked around to see parents and children staring at him. Seto's eyes widened as he watched Yami spit blood on the ground. He...just punched Yami! Seto couldn't believe it. Seto watched as the parents that saw the punch drag their children out of the building. Seto knew that at that moment that his company could be ruined. Yami looked at Seto and glared at him.

"I recommend that we pretend none of this even happened...and that we just become friends...but if you don't...I can make sure that you never come out of the shadow realm." Yami said as Yugi grabbed Yami's arm.

  "Let's just go Yami. Enough happened here and there are about a million eyes staring at us." He said as Yami looked around. He realized that he should go. "That's a warning Kiba, I will send you to the shadow realm if we don't become friends."

  "I hear enough of your friend Tèa's friendship speeches to realize that people are annoying, specifically her." Kiba said which ticked Yugi off.

  "Tèa is a great friend! She's been there for me always!"

  "Oh really Yugi ?" Kiba asked smirking as he looked at Yugi.

  "Stop it Seto!" Mokuba yelled as Kiba looked back at his brother. "Stop it!" He went up to Seto as Seto got on a knee to let his brother whisper something to him. "Look at everyone staring at us! Want our company to go down the drain with this type of 'show' you are putting on for all the eyes staring at us ?" He asked as Seto looked around to see all the eyes. He sighed and stood back up.

"Fine...I'll put our differences aside..." Seto said and looked at Yami. Then he started walking off.

"That's not all Kaiba, you will have to take me out for lunch." Yami smirked as Seto stopped in his tracks and his eyes widened. He turned back to look at Yami as he was serious. "You take me for lunch tomorrow...and we can talk to each higher and forgive one another for our actions...and you will meet me here outside the place at noon. Got it ?" Yami asked as Seto can't believe he's serious. He growled softly and nodded.

  "Fine! But one lunch is over, I'm going to go back to hating you. And not put on a little show to act out as if I like you." He said and then he left with Mokuba. Yugi looked at Yami.

  "Are you serious!?" Yugi asked him as Yami nodded.

  "It's to teach him a lesson." Yami said and walked out of the game store with Yugi following.

  "Yami that's not teaching him a lesson..." Yugi looked down. "It's like a hangout or something." He said as Yami looked at the small teen next to him.

  "Listen Yugi, my ways of forgiveness are different than yours. This is how Kaiba will apologize for his actions." Yami said as Yugi shrugged. They went back to Yugis grandfathers game shop.

  "Oh hello boys. How was Kaibas game shop ?" He asked as Yugi looked at Yami.

  "It was fine." Yami said as the old man smiled and continued to organize his stuff.

  "That's very good! I was hoping for that." He said as Yami nodded and went upstairs as Yugi went up to his grandpa.

  "No grandpa, it wasn't like that." He said as Yugis grandpa looked at it.

  "Well what happened then ?"

  Upstairs Yami was getting his outfit ready for tomorrow's lunch with Kaiba. He picked out his white tank, a leather jacket, leather pants, and black shoes. He smirked at the outfit, happy it looked good. Then he laid in the extra bed that Yugis grandpa got him once he came out of the puzzle. Yami studied the puzzle in his hand.

  "I was locked in this contraption..." He said looking at the puzzle. "Interesting..."

  Meanwhile at Kaibas place, Mokuba was asleep in bed and Seto was at his desk tapping his foot. He felt like a nervous wreck now. Before he was angry and now he's just nervous. And he isn't sure why. Maybe it's because he will be in a public place that's not owned by him ? Maybe it's because of what happened earlier ? Or maybe it's because...he's a little scared of Yami ? Seto shook those thoughts out of his head and placed his head on the table.

  "God dammit! What did I do to deserve this!?"

  "Seto ?" Seto looked up at see his brother in his pjs standing in the middle of the room. Seto got up and went to Mokuba.

  "What's wrong brother ?" He asked as Mokuba grabbed Seto's hand and led him to his bedroom. Mokuba turned the light on and looked under his bed.

  "I swear I saw a monster under here." Mokuba said as Seto hid his laugh. He looked under the bed too and smiled.

  "It could have been a dream...I'll stay in here with you ok ?" Seto asked as Mokuba smiled and nodded. He got in bed and Seto turned the light off. He sat in Mokuba's chair he has in his room. He then looked under Mokuba's bed. He thought to himself if maybe...he is a monster himself.
