She heard so much over the course of the week. Very hurtful things were thrown her way and she just wanted to get away.
When she got home she didn't even bother with her parents. She went straight to her room and picked up a book. This was the seventh book from the library. It was Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. She hoped that sheer insanity of the novel would distract her. It didn't.
She stood up and her eye caught a glimmer. As she approached, she realized that it was her blade. Her hand slowly transferred itself from her pocket to right above the blade. It hovered for a few minutes and she started to cry. She had been clean for a few days because of him.
There was no self-control right now. In one elegant motion she obtained the piece of dismantled razor. She ran into the bathroom and closed the door. She slid down against the wall and sat on the floor. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," she stated. One moment her wrist was a pale canvas with a few scabs, the next it was dripping with red, thick, blood. This calmed her down. She pulled out her phone and called him. He was on his way.
First there was a ring from the doorbell. Then there was a knock. Then he just let himself inside. He didn't find her in her room so he checked the bathroom.
She heard a faint knock on the door. "What do you want?"
"It's me." She quickly opened the door and shut it. "Oh, shit. Where's the Band-Aids?" She pointed to the doors under the sink and he began digging. He found a bandage and covered her wrist. "You up for a walk?" She nodded.
The walk was silent. Somewhere during the middle she engulfed his right arm with both of her arms and leaned her head on his shoulder. This was the absolute first time that she felt like someone is here for her and will always be there for her. She is still sad.
He took her into her favorite coffee shop. Soon two coffees were being made. He held her a little closer as they waited.
The Batista noticed she wasn't happy. The man behind the counter attempted to pick her spirit up by writing For the Most Beautiful Girl on her cup.
When he gave it to her, she smiled a little and snuggled into him. He silently thanked the man and walked to the park with her.
It was late fall and there was a slight chill in the air. They were in the field of the park. They were simply laying there watching the clouds roll by. People would walk by and coo at their cuteness.
She was starting to feel more comfortable. Occasionally, she would point at the sky and say what the cloud looked like. Pretty soon he joined in and made it ridiculous. "There! That's a fat kitten."
"No way! That is a Pokeball letting a Pokemon out. No doubt about it."
"You are such a nerd, you know that?" She playfully punched his arm and denied her Pokemon obsession.
This game continued for twenty more minutes. They were rudely interrupted by her parents. Her mother stood directly above the two. "You better get your worthless ass home, young lady."
