Apocalypse Era

Prologue

Shawn's POV

You ever wondered how the life would be in the middle of a zombie apocalypse? Its like this........

"Take that" I screamed as I shot a zombie right between the eyes with my MP5.

I saw a whole horde of them and so I started running. "Damn where is that grenade?" I screamed while rummaging through all of my pockets. My hand struck against one of my pockets. "Ah found you little one"

I was still running and was out of my breath "........ God I gotta work on my cardio......" I said panting "Bite on this now." I pulled the pin and tossed the grenade backwards and....... BOOM..... But the explosion sent me few yards flying and I crashed into a car..... It is a cop car.... "Nice" I said​ with a grin.

I got up and slammed the driver's window with the back of my MP5. I unlocked the car, opened the door and​ got inside the car. I tried to start the engines and wasn't a big problem. Come on I used to be in army but just when I raised my head, something pulled my hand and I sensed pain.... Extreme pain as a zombie removed the flesh off my body.... Blood gushing and his teeths tore the flesh off of my body.

I groaned in pain before I struck the Z with my gun and shot him in the head when he fell. I started the car..... Damn..... I'll be turned into one of them.

I struck the earpiece with my index finger.

"Lis..... I.... Ah... I got bit. I'll leave this stuff I am carrying at..... The supermarket. Ask someone to collect it from there."

"Hey no.... You just come back to the base bud-"

"And do what kill everyone there? No Lis.... Ask Marcus to do it.... He'll surely pick them up."

I drove to the supermarket.

"The resources are in a cop car parked at the back of supermarket. I'll see if I can find anything inside the superma-"

"I don't hope coz we've almost taken everything from there"

"Yeah but there's no harm to double check, right? I'm leaving the earpiece and the gun.... I'm only taking the bat with me, I don't wanna be killed by those zombies out there."

"Okay"

"Oh ask Marcus to take this stuff as soon as possible coz you know, these things don't actually have the tendency to wait."

"Yeah.. I will..... Hope you rest in peace​."

"Odd moment..... Anyways good luck... Hope you survive all this."

I removed the earpiece, took the bag off of my shoulders, stuffed the the earpiece in the side pocket of the bag. I then put the bag in the trunk of car, I took out the pistol and left both the guns.

I looked at my wound. "This wound won't stop bleeding" I then picked up the spiked baseball bat. Well nailed, I did it. I love it that way but now I don't think it matters.

I entered the supermarket and it was silent as hell but I did hear some groans and awkward sounds momentarily. Even if we clear a place they'll still come back. They freakin' come back.

I passed through the empty shelves. I heard a noise and I turned back to find a zombie who came running towards me.

"Fuck you monster" I screamed like hell and I swung the bat at the zombie. The bat hit him so hard that his head tossed into the air and it fell right in front of another zombie. It wasn't just a zombie there were five of them.

Fuck.... Must be because I screamed.

"Come on I'll take on all of you together"

A zombie came running towards me. I swung the bat downwards on his head, but the bat was stuck so I kicked him on the chest. The zombie crashed into the other two behind him.

But the fourth and the fifth one ran to my side. I hit the one on my left with the bat on the side of its stomach but the one on my right bit me and to my horror the bat broke.

"Fuck"

I kicked the on my right but the three zombies came running and overpowered me. I could feel my flesh being ripped off of my bones. I could feel extreme pain and slowly there was nothing except darkness. I could see nothing. The curtain of life fell upon me.

That's how my life ended.

Okay there it is "the prologue". Now please don't come to me that "Laksh you can't have the POV of a dead character". See its my story if you like it read it if you don't then don't read it but don't question my writing style.
