Neko Neko No mi

I was tied against the tree, the one which I sat and watched Ace fight. I was in the exact situation.Except this time I didn't have a choice, but to stay on the tree. I wanted to help Ace, but I couldn't loosen up the rope that wrapped around me. Knowing what's gonna happen next, I shouted to warn Ace "Run away now ! It will drag you into the water." But Ace didn't seem to hear me, he just kept fighting and history repeated itself, the crocodile bit into his arm, blood came pouring out of the wound, staining the green grass in red.

Just then the ground started to shake uncontrollably, trees near me started to collapse and water from the river started to well up flooding the floor.

I woke up instantaneously from the nightmare, with my eyes widened in horror.

Then, a voice next to me said "I'm jealous. Why weren't you dreaming of me ?" Feeling a bit annoyed I asked "How did you know ?" He answered like a child trying to catch his parent's attention "You were screaming his name throughout the time. What about me ?"

I sighed "I love you,but right now Ace has to be my first priority, he was injured when the monster kidnapped him."

Law lifted his hand next to his ear and made a confused expression pretending he couldn't hear any of that. He smirked "I can't read lips unless they are touching mine."

I rolled my eyes at him. Clearly not in the mood for a naughty wake up session ,I turned to the other side of the bed and pull the sheets over.

Luckily Law is sensitive enough to understand how I felt after losing my brother . He stopped his flirty attitude and sat quietly beside me. "Come on I was just kidding .I knew you would be sad of loosing your brother, I was just trying to cheer you up. But clearly that wasn't the right solution.haha (awkward laugh trying to clear out the silence between us)" I didn't respond to him . After a while of silence , I lifted the sheets a bit to take a peek at his apologetic expression.

As I imagined, it was so cute. At first , he sat on the bed facing the floor ,deep in thought which formed a small frown on his forehead, the silence between us made him more and more uncomfortable. Later ,he crossed his arms and lied on the bed. I imagined his mind panicking "😨OMG she is mad at me , what should I do ? Should I say something ? ..."

I tried to keep my laugher in, but ended up forcing tears out of my eyes. At the same time, Law lifted up the sheets and saw me wiping tears from my eyes. His was shocked, because he thought he made me cry. Well he did, but not the reason he thought it would be. 😂😂

(Time skip)
Before lunch, I was reading a book about devil fruit powers. I scanned through the glossary and found the page about my devil fruit. Excited to know what my abilities are, I quickly flipped through the pages.

The first ability on the 'Neko Neko No Mi' is to communicate with creatures in any shape or form.

Suddenly I heard a whimper "Help". Realising that it might be Ace. I quickly put down the book and sprinted towards the source of the sound. As I ran deeper into the woods ,the sound got louder and louder signalling that I am getting near it.

I stopped to see Peguin and Shachi hunting a wild white rabbit. To take a clearer look at me, It stood on its short hind legs and looked at me with its sparkly eyes "please help me. " I froze on the spot, attracted to it's cuteness.

The next second Penguin completely ruined my mood by saying "Stay away from it. It is an evil creature."

I rolled my eyes at them "What can it do to me ? Stare into my eyes and suck out my soul ?"

I continued to ignore their warning and stroked the rabbit's soft white fur "How could this cute little creature possibly harm anyone ?" Just then, I saw it's red eyes turn bright pink.

All of a sudden, my head started to hurt and I felt lightheaded. In a matter of seconds, my vision got more and more blurry. I saw something transparent coming out of me. It has the exact beautiful eyes, hair and warm smile. OMG it's my soul. As I was yanking it, trying to get it back into my body. I heard the rabbit said "My mission is to kill you. So it's best if you stand still and don't move." Now I finally understood what Shachi and Penguin meant. I did a backflip. Whoop. Now that I have my soul back , I swiftly transformed using my devil fruit power.

Also at the same time, I just noticed that Penguin and Shachi are long gone. Cowards. 😒

What will Y/N do without the help from her friends ?
